I know that Juicehead isn't very well-received by some folks around here, but he did make a video about mod support for 76 that seems to shed a little bit of knowledge about the topic.
TL;DR Apparently 76 will have mod support of some sort with the private servers that has been mentioned previously on this topic, but we still don't really know how it's gonna work or if CC will be a part of this. With this in mind,I will be keeping an intense eye on this game, but I'm still not really convinced on buying and don't know if I ever will. Hopefully, however, this is good news for you people who are looking forward to it.

yeah, hope bethesda will be clear about this game whether or not you can play solo online but in offline mode private server kind of sort, like think about it for a sec. the game is fucking huge 4 times bigger than fo4 because people said it cover whole west virginia map right? might be more than 100 gb OMG but yeah, imagine paying 60 dollar full price on this game that only rely on ONLINE to work, but at what cost is that? I mean, I never really purchase any video games that focus on online multiplayer because to me, as I am not really into online that much, feel like waste of money. so hoping there is offline mode for this.

Fallout 76 won't have any human NPCs at ALL, just a bunch of monsters. No towns, no raiders, it relys on other players making towns and taking the part of raiders and their own made up factions.
No solo-play, You can play Solo as in not join a party but there will always be other players, PVP is always on and it's always Online.
No word on private servers but even if it'd did, it would be like Minecraft where you and whomever you invited would be the only people in the world.

So; -Online only -No npcs - ergo no proper dialogue -"moddable" private lobbies that will obviously not be Bethesda nickel and diming us for simple features and fucking settlement addons or something.
Going to be a hard pass and a fuck off to Bethesda from me.

I started off very unimpressed. Then the more i think about all the times i wanted to share moments of my game play with my friends, now i can. Dungeon diving with my friends will great exploring sharing everything. Basically social fallout or GTA Fallout lol. I'm very much looking forward to it. The single player will have mods and be fun. I'm looking everyone will change there minds on it after they try it. AND most of all i hope the next installment will be more like FNV and F3. Which it should after this whole Fallout fps is over played....

I think this game is not for everyone. This will probably be like Elder Scrolls Online.
My concern is about PVP on how it could turn this game into Rust 2.0 and the lack of world building because of the lack of interact-able human NPCs which could mean no side quests(Hoping that there would at least be interact-able Ghoul/that weird mole person NPC quest givers).

There isn't a "single-player", You can either play solo or in a party, there will always be other players around to ruin your day. It's 100% online in a PvP Environment.
Mods might come but we don't know how yet, private servers perhaps but then Todd said its 100% dedicated servers.
If Private Servers is a thing, then it would only be you and whomever you invite to the server in a big world with no NPCs or towns, no raiders, or factions just a lot of ruins and monsters.
It'd be like Minecraft in a sense except not randomly generated.

It looks like there are still side quests in Fallout 76 based on the IGN interview with Bethesda.
Go to 14:00
It also seems that a part of the main quest is repeatable (The nuke code quest) and there is also a way to "repair" the damage done by the nuke.

I certainly hope not. There are a lot of stuff not explained well about this game especially stuff about PVP(but I guess they are tweaking it as stated on one Todd Howard interview).

I can totally imagine a whole bunch of players just like this nasty nerd from South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" trying to get that nuke

It's already confirmed by Todd in the initial Bethesda show that dying does not lose progression.

Be prepared for Rust level human raiders
Hahah man, there is this 'famous' movie on YT: 'welcome to Rust community' with one hell of a 'raider' in there. No AI could ever imitate this.
Now imagine this kind of guys in fallout.
Violet, Cook-cook, Driver Nephi - your days are over!

honestly this game will be a griefing nightmare and letting everyone use nukes all willy-nilly by getting the launch codes .. it doesn't sound very fun at all.
You could spend hours and days building up a town and etc then suddenly get nuked to hell and back.

The thing is that there is a lot of guys out there for whom the only goal will be to get the nuke and bomb the others. I have to say that as fun as it sound to get the nuke codes it shouldnt be there.
Anyway i wish this game would be something between Dying Light and Divinity 2: sandbox co-op RPG but well....
