Does that make me a braindead ape for pre-ordering 76 already? @ElMaldito I have faith in Bethesda as I enjoy all the games they put out and unlike most people I don't believe leaks and rumours. What's "hilarious" is how people have decided to jump on the negativity bandwagon even before we see what the game is.

Pre-order culture has only given rise to games like Assassins creed Unity and Mass Effect Andromeda. That whole idea of 'release it now, patch it later' needs to stop.

anyway back on Topic, in my experience when you add multiplayer/coop into games that are traditionally single player i am never happy with the results. So i am not hopeful for 76

If the game turns out to be an MMO, like people think it is, I will pass. It's one thing to casualize the franchise like this, when F4 already exists, it's another to deal with the absolutely abhorrent bethtard fanbase every time I turn on

It acts like a new vegas DLC, but from what I hear, it's going to go on a much grander scale, and it will serve as a prequel, meaning you wake up in doc mitchell's office AFTER you are done with the mod, and the new game starts out in vault 18. Should be interesting, but I am still holding out hope that F76 will also be a single player game. Remember that NV was released shortly after F3, using the same engine, and like F76, it's also considered a "spin off" not worthy of being called the next installment in the franchise while still being canon, similarities can't be a coincidence

Well - the only thing I hope remains intact apart from a true Single Player Experience (not that I mind Co-op, just that its optional) is that free mods are still allowed and not what some are speculating that mods for FO76 will only come from the Creation Club.

People don't have a problem with paid mods, so they will become the standard. This is horse armor all over again, it won't mean that communities like this one and others won't find ways to create free content, it just means it will be a pain in the ass to install it and share it freely

Hate to say it, but this kind of attitude is what gave us paid mods to begin with. Todd will only get away with what people let him get away with, and the braindead majority simply doesn't care. Stunts he and the rest of the gaming industry are pulling today would be unthought of 15 years ago

Sad to say, problem is much deeper. People are stupid, and the fool and his dollar are soon parted. Hell, you got entire websites dedicated to this sort of thing, like patreon, where people willingly throw their money away. And don't get me started on twitch donations, especially for the "Gamer Gurlz", it sometimes gets borderline camwhoring with them

But yes, the problem is much bigger, and it's much more complicated than one might think, can't stamp it out anymore than you can stamp out human greed. I like to think I'm not part of the problem, since I only pre ordered games I knew I would buy 100%(After knowing damn well what they were, mind you), and most of the time, I could only bother if they threw in a little bonus that I knew would be unobtainable later on, the vault 13 thing they did with NV was cool, even if they released it as DLC down the line anyways. But spending money blindly on a game when you know nothing about it, aside from a trailer, is something else. Is it any wonder bethesda plays people for fools with a little presentation and just watches their zeroes multiply when their games are severely lacking in quality and polish? Fallout 4 and it's "Hype Train" was the perfect example, V76 will be no different. Todd already has your money, it doesn't matter how horrible the game is, they already have what they wanted from you

People should at least pre-order Fallout: 76 once E3 shows the game. We barely have information on it. Just "Leaks" and rumors.

And if something gets shown at E3 that is off-putting then it's no trouble at all to cancel the preorder. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just never understood why people make such a big deal about it. I know I'm going to buy it anyways and I can often get a decent discount by preordering. So why not?

@Sonichu_fanboy @ElMaldito You know you can cancel pre-orders right? I never understood why people like you feel the need to bitch and moan over what other people decide to put their money towards. If you don't like the game don't buy it, it's simple. Not interested in the product or company? Move on.

The fact of the matter is the Fallout 76 teaser was super vague in what exactly the game is going to be about, rumors aside putting up preorders for anything when your customers don't know what they're getting into is a scummy business practice on their part.

On the topic of rumors the reason people are concerned is because the person who leaked these rumors has been on the money about things like this before.

Jason Schreier posted the Fallout 4 WIP Script and photo of the Fallout 4 Sole Survivor well in advance of Fallout 4's announcement and also posted about Fallout 76 before it's big announcement.. so the guy has credibility to not right out ignore him.

We're all taking theses rumors with a pinch of salt but it does help us temper our expectations that we might be getting something different this time around.

I have to say, after experiences like Diablo III, I will never preorder again. I think its more of a preferential thing, but I want to see the game first. I know you can cancel preorder, but until there is something concrete I think preorders are definitely out of line at this stage. We don't even have the highly edited gameplay footage to make the game seem much better.

I have loved TES & Fallout series but FO4 was slightly disappointing and this is leaving a bad taste in my mouth with a bad feeling in my gut.

yeah kinda. Multiplayer is great but i am never happy when they add multiplayer to traditionally single player experiences.

West Virginia is the location of the GreenBrier Resort.

GreenBrier Resort is an actual Resort with tennis and golf courses. Underneath is a vast network of fallout bunkers and tunnels built in 1950s that connects to Washington DC. The bunker is where congress, and other essential leaders and personnel can live and still run the country underground (its decommissioned today and open to tourists).

A lot of folks are hoping that bunker contains a group of Enclave in it, its entirely possible but i rather get all new groups being that we're in the east coast.

The game is 4 times as big as FO4! straight from Tod at E3
