Battlefront 2 multiplayer is back online today!

Oh ! That's why steam downloaded an update for the game, today !

According to a lot of the post I've seen by people is that its crashes if you have mods installed though. Problem is that all the posts I've seen dont go into any detail. Anyone know if theres any truth behind this? I will say that it came as a suprise to me when I read about it though.

It needs a lot of work IMO. Right now it's done more harm than good by killing the game ranger servers,   and supposedly ruining mods (still need to check this last part). Thankfully GOG has said dedicated servers are on the way.

Yeah I've crashing when I click on multiplayer. I'm assuming its the mods I have installed just as you said @beardofsocrates.

I tried playing in multiplayer, but the connection is a mess ! It's laggy AF and most of my shots don't land on the enemies' heads !

I have plenty of mods installed but I managed to play the game in multiplayer without crashing at all

@erictuong Apparently if you use the unoffical 1.3 update you should be able still use your mods. Granted you can't use multiplayer afterwards. To my understanding, this is only for the larger scale ones that require it.

It's awesome seeing so many people picking up this old game, but currently the only way to have a decent match is to host a small server.
