i am trying to find out if the armor slots that an armor uses in the creation kit, is that the parts of the body it will protect... for example the chinese stealth suit uses about 6 slots , and i want to change it to one slot of my choosing so i can wear accessories with it..... just wondering if anybody knows if i do this, i know it will still appear on the whole but will the suit still protect the whole body.

Base on everything I've seen, the armor value applies equally to the entire body. So changing what slots it uses to only torso (for instance) won't make it so you take more damage when hit in the arm. There are damage multipliers of course (particularly for headshots), but the armor value that's used in damage calculations is just one value, used for any hit location.
