Since Disney bought out Lucasfilms from George Lucas, the once EU (Expanded Universe) of Star Wars has been given the brand name of "Star Wars: Legends." As the movies, Clone Wars Animated Series (2008-2014), Rebels, and the newer comics are all canon, would the Clone Wars cartoon be considered canon, due to the fact that the cartoon showed many things that the animated series didn't. Such as Anakin becoming a Jedi Knight and Palpatine getting kidnapped.

The cartoon clone wars was my childhood growing up. Even for just being 5 minutes, it was really good. The CGI Clone Wars was alrighr, but not as good in my opinion as the cartoon. Kind of a shame the cartoon is retconed now.

I think I preferred the CGI one personally.
