Congratulation new colonials. I hope you wear this color with honor. Respect everything here than as you all can see, if not, you will never come back. All of you earn the trust of the community and became colonials. Now prove that this was not a wrong decision by following the rules and respect the modders wishes. Have fun with the mods and give feedback!

To be honest...I'm pissed. I've had my work stolen by other people in other gaming communities...which is why I don't share my work publicly anymore. EVER. I go back a long time...probably before a lot of our members on GUN were even born. Way back when, a bunch of us agreed to a 'gentleman's agreement/understanding' on the following ideals that my old pal Sparty came up with:

"1: ALWAYS read the readme...there be the rules for use!
2: ALWAYs credit for full use
3: If you are using a small or partial amount then contact the original author either in P/M or E-mail
4: NEVER EVER remove an atists tag. (edit: a lot of old school guys, like myself....used to 'tag' their work with a signature or readme file for use)
5: NEVER EVER EVER !!! pass off anybody's work off as your OWN!

Now then ...these 'RULES' seem pretty straight forward and common sense but still even lately I have noticed some of these 'abuses' by known authors.

This was posted in 2000-ish...almost 16 years ago! Too many people STILL don't get it...and I am PISSED OFF that this is still an issue. Sorry...but if you steal from an author and claim it as your own? F*ck you. You don't deserve to be part of the modding community, you hack-fraud.

@noodles1976 +1 and mass respect for the appreciation of the work it takes to make things happen. If you can't make it you fake it unfortunately in the case of thieves and frauds, and they are more prevalent today than ever before. A sad but true fact, so us modders have to stick together.
