Wow, this is a very pleasant surprise, especially since my day didn't start very well. I wasn't expecting this at all. Nothing more to say other than a very big THANK YOU, and that I'll keep being active and helpful with my posts.

Some demotions today. Don't weep for these men, they've had plenty chances to post. It's funny how we keep demoting people, but the lurkers don't notice it, and keep lurking. Oh well... as I said before... at best, formerly valued members of the community will have to become active again, and at worst, we leave inactive members without full access.

That's cut throat...and while I make excuses for no one...I can't help but wonder the reason for some of the inactivity. I get lurking, I do, and I've got ideas behind keeping it to a minimum...but if something in reality kept them from logging in/on (what's proper? do you log IN to a website or log ON to a website) I would hope there is an appeals process to say something like "hey GUN mods...THIS happened and that's why i couldn't log back in" Otherwise I agree with Lance...you know the deal...and if you don't know the deal...you know you should have.

What about the folks who keep tabs to the site open and use their browser? You know, the people who genuinely don't mean to lurk, but use firefox, keep a gun tab open, and they're pinged as being logged in...that may be why they don't notice their demotions. I've done that PLENTY of times.... I suppose we'll never know now.
