Constant Random Freezing in Fallout 3

I could be doing anything, and the game randomly freezes, and it keeps doing it. I've seen it happen from me attacking an NPC, drinking water, and a bunch of other stuff. The only way to get out of the game when it does that is to kill it with the Task Manager. I don't know why it's doing this.

Has anyone else had the game just keep freezing randomly?

From Steam store page (Fallout 3 is not optimized for Windows 7 and later) and

(If you play with Windows 7 x64, you <<have to>> patch from 1.5 to Version 1.7 (Link in Comments), and add this two Lines to the config File:

My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Fallout3.ini
----------------------------------------------------------------
Find: bUseThreadedAI=0
Change it to: bUseThreadedAI=1
add below (new line):
iNumHWThreads=2
----------------------------------------------------------------
If you do so, you should have no freezing problems.

How long are you able to play before it crashes and does it only crash when your doing something or could you be standing still in an environment with nothing happening and it crashes?

You're not using autosave or writing over your saves over and over again, are you?

Maybe memory issue, Tale of Two Wastelands was crashing like you described it, and I have 8gb memory.
4gb patch, fake full screen, changing resolution and texture quality helped me.
Also try CleanMem Mini Monitor, this will help with performance.

I had the same problem with my fo3 even without mods,my only solution to you is to use ttw.it stop that annoying freezing every 10 min

Have you tried the stutter remover mod? It stopped all of my crashing and the game runs much smoother.
