Hey guys,

So i've been playing the first 2 fallout games

I'm not sure how many of you have played them but they were absolute gems

I'm interested to see which one you guys prefer, for me personally I can't decide.

And give your reasons why!

I can't vote for both of them so I won't vote at all. It's not very often that a good first game gets an equally good continuation. Fallout and Half-Life are the only ones I can think of. So the fact that you can't decide is not only justified, but it's also the right answer to your question!

Yeah I took away the option to vote for both so people were inclined to choose one!

Clearly I'm not the only one who can't do it haha !

Both Fallout games were so good but I have to say the second one was the best, they just managed to improve so many things and all the awesome moments like the enclave drill sergeant screaming at you were fantastic. Fallout 2 is a game you have to play at least once but you still need to play the first one as its still a great game like the first time you meet Harold

hmm i'm going to say fallout 2 I liked the story of that one more and that you could get a car in it but they are both great games hmm I gotta say it's my favorite thing putting my intelligence on 1 on the old fallouts because you speak very funny sucks how they didn't have that in the new fallouts

Don't know how you didnt get that option but on one of my playthroughs I had below 3 intelligence and I had speech options like "Me take your job cause me smarter" or "ICE CREAM!!". The speech options like the ones I listed aren't always available and you will have to use default speech options.

There are plenty of low intelligence dialogue options. The best was with the follower at Helios One, Ignacio Rivas

The original Fallout was good and all but Fallout 2 took what the original did wrong and made it better and added a crap load of things to do and places to explore. The atmosphere in 1 was way more intense and eerie and i will always prefer that games atmosphere rather than 2. But 2 had a more streamlined story and didn't go off topic like 1 did. The idea of the Enclave attacking the wasteland was fresh and exciting. It felt like a actual threat than the Master and his mutant army. The enclave were more advanced and didn't care about ANYONE who wasn't in their ranks. Yes the Master was deep character and his justification of his actions were more in depth than the Enclaves, but the Enclave played the bad guys so well and their lack of understanding the wasteland made it all the much better. Fallout 2 will always be my favorite of the 3 original styled Fallouts (1,2,Tactics). But not to say that 1 is to be ignored or overlooked because without it, this community wouldn't be here right now. :-P
