| Hi there. I am currently adding some custom races as followers using SCC. Some of the character have hairs that i dont really like, therefore i want to change this. However i cant find for example the megaton hairlines. Only the deault ones or the ones included with the race mod. Megaton hairlines only work for caucasioan or other FO races. Does anyone know how to do it? |

Does anyone know how to do it? Sure. You need to make hair plugin an masterfile via FNVEdit, just check this option in plugin header in there. Then load your esp, where you are changing character races via GECK, make it active file, but while checking plugins, add also hair plugin, which is masterfile now. Load. Your plugin will load all other master it needs by its own. Then open race you want to add hairs and go to the "face" tab. You will see there an window, where are listed hairs. Good. Now go to the "character" tab in upper geck menu without closing race window. There choose "hairs" - you will see all hairs are loaded currently. Seeks for hairs you need and simply drag them into race hair window. Click ok, and save the plugin. Then go to the NPC you are changing into "head parts" menu and you will be able to choose hairs you added in there. Other option is to get hairs you need from the archieve and add them to your plugin. Search the archive for hairs you need. Open meshes and watch texture path they are linked to. Make a custom folder for your hairs you will use on your characters, definitely make new unique path for meshes and textures. Drag meshes and textures you need into new location. Re-link hair textures in the mesh, using Nifskope, adding new texture path. Then open GECK and masterfile you want to add them in, as an example your merged masterfile with races. Using "character" tab go to the "hair" menu, and add your new hairs by linking the texture location to them. Once custom hairs are made - add these hairs to the races. Then save and use the way you use now to change NPC-s. P.S. It is better to keep hairs in BSA, so if you make a new plugin, or updating it with hairs - make sure to make a BSA with same name as the plugin. P.S.S. As race male/female, there also checkboxes in hairs used by male/female. Check them as you wish. Make also hair you drag to the race "playable". |
