So i finally isolated the problem with my FNV, its audio related. whenver i use my MDR-XB950BT headphones games work great,
I can hear voice chat in OW, hear sounds in BL2, and the game will run smooth in New Vegas (without it, it stutters like hell - perhaps 3 fps and no sound)

I have a MSI Apache Pro, what do you think I should do? I think it could be realtek audio manager but im still testing it out. This is a more general topic not just fallout but i didnt see where else to put it. I dont wanna keep using my headphones for games because it wastes battery and can get uncomfortable

That's a hell of a nice laptop.....so stupid question: When was the last time you checked for the latest drivers? Realtek audio drivers as well as the drivers for the mobo and especially the card. That has the Nvidia card in it, right? Just a thought.

Idk if it counts as necro, but the issue was this laptop came with Nhamic audio driver? Very bad. fuck that. Realtek Audio all the way!

But yes, those are horrible sound drivers in my experience as well.
