| for those that don't know Bethesda are suing Warner Bros over their new Westworld game which REALLY looks like its just a re-skinned fallout shelter.
Lawsuit
I am usually the first person to call bullshit on companies filing frivolous lawsuits , and being copyright/patent trolls - hey PUBG, FUCK YOU - But it does look like Bethesda have a genuine case here. The same dev made both games so its fairly likely they re-used assets and code from fallout Shelter.

| It's not like Fallout Shelter is a huge success, it's even free so I don't know why Bethesda, or rather ZeniMax, decided to do that. _________________  Everything by Star. |

| @"Azreg" i would disagree on it not being a success. over 100 million downloads is pretty fucking successful. and they would only need a tiny fraction of that to still be playing and spending real money for it to be making them money. ` _________________ |

| @"ElMaldito" yes that's my take on it anyway. If the westworld game is built using any code or assets from Fallout shelter then Bethesda and Zenimax have right to sue IMO. _________________ |

| It is a blatant rip off of Fallout Shelter. Not to mention it is being created by an Ex-Fallout Shelter dev so Bethesda has a lot of reasons to do this lawsuit. Personally I do not really care  _________________  Will there be enough Dakka? |

| Really all of this is going to come down to how closely both game mimic each other, but personally I think all of these lawsuits are becoming quite silly. |

| From what I've heard, it's not based on how similar the two games are. It's that Westworld uses the same engine as Fallout Shelter, which is Bethesda's property. Bethesda doesn't own the right to all games with that simple concept. They do however own all the assets used in that game. Supposedly, the dev behind the Westworld game used either the engine or notable assets. Bethesda noticed it because it has the same bugs. So when Todd says "It's not a bug, it's a feature", he really means it's a security feature. If he spots that bug in one of your games, he's going to revoke your ability to buy Skyrim: Remastered Legendary Edition HD  . |
