| Since banner selection is over and I already have finished couple of my users online buttons I decided to make some Journey wallpapers. Basically they are same but I wanted to make two different versions with stroke and without it. - Spoiler:

And in second version I fiddled around a lil bit with color burn. Also @HungerMaster.Great concept.But I think it needs grammar tweaking. I just really love how well its set up, the font choice and everything is quite amazing. really well done Second is by Xzisted - NCR Ranger:
I really like the way hes done this, with the font choice and the general feel to it, i dont tend to like images like these but this one is very well done. Third is by TheHusky - Hotline Miami:
Again, i really love the amount of time and effort put into this one, hes gotten the source material really down point and it also looks stunning. Fourth is by FearTheSpork - The Martyr :
Really like this, the effort really shows and doing something like this with custom made stuff makes it seem even better to me, everything flows quite nicely. And last but not least is by Suddenly Psychotic - Titan:
I LOVE the way hes set this up, it has just such a sense of scale that the others didn't. He really did a great job displaying quite a titan of a backdrop while not compromising it by having big, gearing font covering it up. Incredibly done! |

| By a careful calculation of the votes (most of which were sent to me by PM) we have the results of the first GUNetwork Wallpaper Contest!
Before we line them up,
I'd like to remind everyone the goddamn contest rules:
- The Rules wrote:
- You may include screenshots but only if they're your own made, or with
express permission from their author, whom you must clearly credit for them
Should you use fan-art, you have to obtain permission from its original author
As far as official concept art goes you don't need permission,
but you should include the logo of the developer or publishing company somewhere in the wallpaper (it may be a tiny logo, as long as it's visible)
Now that we've remembered all that
(though I suspect it's news to many of you)
Let's see which Wallpapers were most voted!
5TH PLACE

I was pleasantly surprised of this non-fallout entry.
Is the base image your original fan-art? If someone else made it, have you acquired express permission? If it's official promotional image for a game, have you included the logo of the developing company? Lacking any of that, we might disqualify it.
4TH PLACE

Excellent entry  Congratulations!
If that is official concept-art/promo image from the game devs, please make sure to include the logo of the dev company somewhere in the wallpaper.
3RD PLACE
@Mattafex
- Fallout Power Armor:
No surprises there, though I must ask - did you go through the trouble of securing permission from the image author? That was a requirement and might disqualify you if you didn't. Original pictures, official concept or promo art or pictures with permission only, remember?
I've managed to already contact the authors of that specific photo for the use of a banner, but I'm not sure we can use it as Wallpaper so we'll have to talk this out before we post it in the galleries.

I might be blinded by hype, but I don't see any Bethesda/Obsidian logo anywhere on it. I swear, it's AS IF the rules weren't there an entire month, clearly expressed for everyone to see.
Should we add the Obsidian and/or Bethesda logos anywhere on it, it will be the winner of the contest. Should we not, even #1 can be disqualified.
Those rules aren't there for my entertainment, people.
Anyway, should everything be squared off righteously, we will proceed with awarding the winners with a spot in the winner's galleries.
As xzisted is already a member of the GUNetwork's Graphics Specialists team (and rightfully so), there's no point to promote him to his current rank
BUT in compensation, he might receive a steam key for a video-game which I'll later announce cause I'm not sure what we'll have to award at this time

| Some rad wallpapers guys, gotta add them to my desktop Congrats to @xzisted for first place, you made that ranger look badass! Those are some kickass colours @TheHusky, i'm a big fan of the blue/pink hues from the hotline miami games @Mattafex I thought i'd seen the best of fan/concept art for fallout, but that image looks seriously good. Very fitting text too, congrats! @Supershifty subtle use of colour in that one, although I've never played metal gear, i can appreciate his menacing stare nonetheless. Nice composition, minimalistic yet effective @SuddenlyPsychotic That image is jaw dropping, the size and position of the text really brings out the colossal factor of the beast _________________   |
