So the way I was told to rig things was have the thing you want to rig, import parts of the Fallout/whatever game's skeleton, and line the thing you want to rig up with it. Does it need to be perfectly lined up? Because this is what I have now:

Her face structure is really different from the Fallout head, so I don't see how I could line it up perfectly.

You don't need to match up her facial structure to the Fallout model's head, just the general proportions/limbs etc.  You want her head/neck to bend the same, arms, legs, etc.  That's what's important for what you're trying to do.

For creating races the head needs to be similarly lined up for the purpose of generating facemorphs but that's its own whole, separate thing.
