The instructions from the author of the enb say to just put the d3d9.dll in the 4gb exes folder but that causes a startup crash
any input?

Try and take the d3d9.dll file out of the 4gb version's folder and just use the injector version instead.

Hmm, must admit. When I converted to Mod Organizer and used ENB with FNV4GB I ran into some trouble, but eventually I figured it out.

Here's my Fallout folder and the exe folder within the fallout folder:

Basically there is a copy of the d3d9.dll (latest 263 FNV binary) in the main fallout folder AND the exe folder. Same goes for the falloutNV.exe (with >2GB enabled) - a copy in main and exe folder.

I've used it ever since and I've never had a problem with an ENB.

There are 2 versions of FNV4GB by the way, one is the old and one is the new, first time I googled it I got the old one which does not have ENB support, I think.

I don't know if this helps at all, but the first time I installed an ENB my game crashed and all I had to do was open the game as admin.

As mpaz96, a trick I learnt was to set all application Fallout/Skyrim related to 'open as administrator', including steam and any mod organizer you happen to be using. Set the 4GB exe as admin, fallout.exe as admin etc, etc. I use the version that alonewolf003 linked.

Nope, this happened to me also, though I fixed it by using the injector version with the updated FNV4GB.

Can you open the game with the ENB but without the FNV4GB?

yes but i run ttw so 4gb is basically a must

Wait. It does work without ENB right? You didn't confirm that. Also, if you're using Windows 8/8.1 you need to use Injector version.

4gb works without enb
game works with enb and no 4gb
i stick to 7

Well you just copy and put it all into the fallout directory like the other one but you will have to launch the injector.exe each time you start.

when you open it it says "write target process nate to enbinjector.ini" im clueless to what this means should i just ignore it

Be sure to copy everything from the injector folder.
