| I reinstalled FO4 and spent the last couple of days modding it for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R./Metro survival playthrough and when I finally got it all running,I ran into a brick wall. Long load times(which was a problem the first time I played it) and constant ctds. Whenever I load or start a new game,it's a gamble on whether or not it will crash. And when I do get in game,it's still a gamble on how long the game will run until it craps itself and crashes. So I am guessing that I have installed mods that aren't compatible with each other or I'm just pushing my system too far. Any help and advice would be much appreciated. - Load Order:

| It honestly sounds like a load order problem or incompatible mods. If you have LOOT, use that to sort out your load and make a few adjustments if you need to. If it isn't that, it'll probably be one or a few mods causing these crashes. Maybe disable one plugin at a time to figure out the problem, sounds like a pain but it needs to be done, I had to do it before. Or maybe you could look up some of these mods you have installed to see if it's incompatible with a few mods you already have, they might have compatibility patches. I hope this helps.

| Due to how often I crashed,I got into the habit of running LOOT after every crash. However,I think I may have just won the jackpot. Disabled a few mods to try and find the culprit,and thankfully,the troublemaking son of a gun was in the first batch. It was ELFX. I never used it for Fallout before and only installed it becuase I used the Skyrim version for it and thought that it would be cool. Looking at the mod page for it,it seems as if I'm not the only one. Guess I'll jsut find a replacement for it. Anyways,thanks for the advice. _________________ |
