There is a mod that caps the level max out at 255. So there's always that option. Personally, I prefer the vanilla cap and perk every other level. Otherwise you become OP too quickly.

Just because your XP no longer increases, you can still do everything you would be doing otherwise.

For quest mods, I suggest:

1. TTW: I've got a game save that starts me on Doc Mitchell's porch. I can begin in the Mojave and still have the Fallout 3 DLCs to play.

2. The Someguy Series: I haven't finished it all yet, but what I've played has been on par with the vanilla game at minimum, and even exceeding it in some cases. Highly recommended

3. Autumn Leaves: This feels like a mini-DLC with near-developer quality. Just a glimpse here and there of spelling errors and such. But this quest made me feel genuine emotion. Probably more than any quest--vanilla or mod. It's also right up my alley in terms of philosophy.

There are a lot more quest mods that I want to still try. These include DEIMOS, Beyond Boulder Dome, and some others. Basically just browse the most-endorsed quest mods on the nexus :p

@"Danieldefense" try out Beyond Boulder Dome, currently playing it and i must say its pretty good and if you will play it, bring some rad-x and radaway because some places are heavy on radiation

Like Dragbody I have to recommend the Someguy Series. I'm still only halfway through the Inheritance which has been my introduction to the series. The quests and story can be very dynamic and natural in ways the vanilla game isn't. I was really impressed by it and it'll probably breathe some new life into the game for ya.

@"Danieldefense" while you wait for the Frontier, which will be a spectacular addition to the main conflict of New Vegas, you should really give the Someguy Series a try if you're looking for story. Very well written, reminds me very much of the first season of Daredevil if that's something you like.

Why, I go beyond level 50. Thats what I do. For quests, start playing Beyond The Boulder Dome, New Vegas Bounties and every other quest mod you can find.

I look at it more as 'what do I do once I've completed all the quests?' - level doesn't really make much difference to me

and in this case I start to make up my own story for the courier, perhaps roleplay

I usually play some quest mods or just goof around with the console.

I just role play as my character. I play Tale of two wastelands, so my character starts off in Fallout 3, then after the story I go to New Vegas as a bad ass veteran Merc who starts Bounty Hunting after Benny shoots him in the head.

Just keep playing. I would like to continuously gain XP, but as just a cosmetic thing once I passed level 50.

I find Beyond Boulder awesome in the first part, but it quickly becomes meh, although it's graphically very polished

I would say Install Some quest Mods, weapon mods, armor mods, a new dungeon or two but that's entirely up to you my friend. Install the mods you want for your game, watch some mod reviews, I'm re-modding my game for the thousandth time after reinstalling it today (just an exzaggeration mind you) maybe some graphical presets such as an ENB or texture enhancers (that is if your system can handle that kind of thing) I assume it would be able to if not dont bother with enbs and other graphical presets of the sort because your game will slow to a crawl trust me i made that mistake many times over and be careful how you install graphics overhauls and graphical presets because you could break your game i've also made that mistake many times over. well good luck on your fun yet frustrating modding endeavor. as i've been trying to say fallout and elder scrolls can be and are what you mod them into my friend.

When I hit level 50, I usually either increase difficulty level, get quest and companion mods, explore unexplored DLCs or anything I might've missed, get level cap increase mod.

Or just hit the strip, pick a random casino, and massacre the place.

If all else fails I just change my gender via console, to see if my character looks half decent as the opposite sex, if not, I tweak the face until it does and then carry on with the actions mentioned above (makes for good character creation practice).

Download monster mod, monster war, increase spawn and quest mods just to prolong the game. Even in level 50, it is a pain in the rear end to kill some of the monster on those mods especially the behemoths.

Keep going until I've completed everything there is to complete. It's less about the EXP and more about experiencing the game for me. After all these years there are still things I either haven't run into or haven't even discovered.

Never stop. Download quest mods, explore, make it a priority to kill everything.

Asap downloading a mod where I can level past lvl50. And then just wandering the mojave/capital wasteland, shooting things on sight and other stuff
