PostSubject: Di3sIrae Writtings   Wed Nov 02, 2016 2:40 am

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

So, i like to write, but i do not write much actually, most times i just have lots of histories in my mind that never reach the paper (or my HD). So i decided to translate some i have to share with GUN, and i had some trouble, because i can write, read and even talk in english but when i need to translate i must search for the right words and use google almost all the time, so i can be sure that everything have the same meaning as in the original hahaha

Just completed the translation of this one, that i called "One Day" for no reason. It may be a bit sad, hope you like it (:

If you find anything wrong, PLEASE tell me because i am unsure about this translation Sad

Note I:

Note II:

"The sound of the wind passing heavily outside of the small cavern was making gentle whistles, despite the snow tempest roaring angrily, as if it was trying to open a way through the rock. The fissure from where she had slided in was short, and somehow prevented the freezing cold from entering.

Leaned, if not hurled, against the thick wall, her eyes were gazing what was left of a firepit, illusive flames insisting to dance in her mind, like a last thread of hope. The so well welcome heat of the fire gave place to a thin smoke that emerged from the embers, soon dissipating and being accepted by the darkness, this one each moment shrouding more the figure that was laying shrunken and helpless.

In truth, the two figures. Nested in the woman's arms, wrapped in a fur mantle, was a child. It didn't have the same ears from the mother, ears that did not bring her any pride. Because of them she ran away with her baby outside of Bruma, going north, without looking back. There were not much grief left, although she loved her husband with all of her heart, even he being an Imperial. In that cold and murky hole, the memories seemed distant, like histories from an old book, and were coming to her mind flawed but somehow in a fun way.

Varllus, one of the generals of the Thalmor and her father, could not tolerate her daughter getting involved with other races. When he discovered about the pregnancy, his wrath was such that he  menaced to take the child away and imprision it, after murdering the unfortunate that dared touch the woman. From the first threat she managed to escape, but the man that she loved had his end in a fast way, without delays, without excuses. Without even saying goodbye.

Her limbs were starting to fail her, and the cold from the rocks were something almost tangible, as if it were trying to possess her. She moved a little, and her gaze fell to the small creature in her arms. The vision of the extinct fire was begining to be too hard to endure, and threatened to remember her that she would not last without a source of heat. With some reluctance from a part of her body, that seemed to be motionless for many centuries and not just a dozen of minutes, she bent her head down and touched her lips in the forehead of the child, in a motherly kiss like only it could be. The bodies were gelid, but still it was a warm and moist kiss, given with her heart an not with her mouth.

Her throat closed and burned suddenly, and the elf lifted her head, turning her eyes to the embers again. There were no room for tears, or so she hoped, because if she cried again maybe her heart would not withstand the pressure anymore. The pulsation was strong and overwhelming, but nevertheless a calm took hold of her being, a last help from the divines to the poor woman. A few hours had passed since the child in her arms were not moving, but it was inconceivable at that moment that anything bad could have happened to it. If the least thought would occur to her, she would be taken by madness, her mind would be torn apart and everything else, lost. She needed just to... Keep herself.

The sky was still ruthlessly pouring snow over the earth, and the wind roaring without any sign of calming down. The embers of what once was the fire were realeasing its last crackles and, finally, the elf felt that it was the moment to close her eyes. The fatigue was taking over her mind, since her body was not feeling anything anymore, and was begging for some hours of rest. Her eyelids lay down, easying the suffering, and now everything seemed easier to bear. In a final moment, when the last line of hope was narrowing to break itself, she became aware of things, of the burden in her arms, of the love that was gone, of the pain in her body and the wounds in her heart.

And she weeped.

But, differently from what she thought, the tears were flowing all the grief out of her, and bit by bit she felt her body become lighter, and lighter. Slowly,  she left behind the cave and the storm, and further, the blood of her beloved. Now her son, in her arms, was smilling happy and carefree, and in a corner the man of her life was eyeing her with a lifted eyebrow. His charm, she thought, and started to laugh. And was this way, laughing, that the darkness came and embraced her, cradling her in itself, while the wind was singing a beautiful song in sharp notes.

In this life, there is no time to say goodbye. The sun goes, then comes back, just to go again, taking us with itself, on and on, without giving us a chance to try. There was no last breath, just the tempest howling outside, screaming, indifferent to what was happening around. There was no, also, one last look, in the figure standing in the entrance of the cave, although it was there all the time, watchful. And so, the sun was gone, taking another day with it. Just the tears remained."

That was awesome af to read, bruh "It didn't have the same ears from the mother, ears that did not bring her any pride." Got me hooked on the story even more to read it lmao, bravo

Main errors I've seen were minor grammar mistakes like runned instead of ran, didn't see much else tho

@cake Really?! Thanks for liking it! Very Happy
At first it was meant to have more content, i was going to write about the child, but everyone liked it so much in facebook (joke. No one cared) that i lost my interest in doing so. But who knows. I still have one or two more that i want to bring here, just need to translate.

And thanks for pointing the error, already fixed!! Writing in the past confuses me a lot hahaha

Excellent story! You need to write more. I personally have lots of writing but they are on my leanguage and im too lazy to translate them but yet, more stories remain in my head but some of them I write down on my leanguage. If I feel like it I just write another side story in english. Anyway keep up the good work!

Actually this could be used as a backstory for a character in Skyrim. It makes sense since she's running north towards the border where she could get caught. Well just something i thought about... Great story, very descriptive (as in details and emotions), great work.

@BoomBewm Thanks!!! Yeah, translating is more difficult than i thought :/
It took me many hours, and i think that the next one i'll write in english already. People here doesn't actually care about what i write. But if you do one, post it here in GUN Very Happy Very Happy

@chrocsichrocs If she didn't die, that could be possible! I usually make histories for my characters, it increases a lot the roleplay hehe
And thanks !!!
