| Since both Fallout 3 and New Vegas are literally the same game (just different settings!), I wonder if it's possible to port mods made for New Vegas into FO3?
I would definitely enjoy the company of my modded companions in a different game, I'm concerned about the complexity of porting them over, if it's even possible.
Alternatively, would I benefit more from the 'Tale of Two Wastelands' mod (which I have yet to check out)? _________________ |

| What Ansaar said, Get Tale of Two Wastelands. You can have the best of both worlds. I use it and love having Fallout 3 items and companions in New Vegas and vice versa. Really worth it. _________________ |

The TTW website also has some tutorials about porting over Fallout 3 mods, and there's quite a few on the forums that have already been ported over. |

| Yeah it is very possible I offered to do so for anyone who wanted it a while back. It is a hassle when we have TTW but if you want the games to be separate as they canonly are then you have to know how to use the g.e.c.k and the fallout mod manger and its easy. But it has to be something like armor weapons and the like that is the easiest if you want help with importing then let me know mate! _________________ - I Wish.... to Fly to a Place So Far Away:

| I'm not sure it's necessary with ttw combining the two games into one. Rather than designing a script to port them like ttw did, it'd probably be easier to just make the mod from scratch for Fallout 3. It's probably something simple like just flipping one switch or number in the geck or something. |

| I swear it drives me up a wall, why does everyone immediately assume that, that is what a person wants when they ask how to port FNV mods to fallout 3? If they wanted to know how to do it for TTW WOULDN’T THEY HAVE ASKED JUST FOR THAT? GOOD GOD!!!!!! Not everyone wants to play TTW. Either stick with the topic or don’t bother responding. Thank you....
@Vahn65 I myself am currently looking for someone who could perhaps teach me about porting and maybe a few other things aswell. Please if you could contact me. I will DM you my Discord contact if you would care to help me, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

| There's still a few people who don't know about ttw, and it makes bringing a New Vegas companion into Fallout 3 extremely easy. Although in the case of this original poster, he/she specifically was asking about the viability ttw as a solution, which would be one possible reason as to why I might have suggested it. |

| Regardless, TTW shouldn't just be the only answer to fix the issue. - Spoiler:
Because look at what I managed to get into Fallout 3? |

| @Cortex333 Umm... No.
The original author of this post asked if TTW would benefit them, thus they were opening the doors for opinions on TTW.
The context of this topic is all about whether TTW benefits players or not, so if another member makes a post on nearly a 3 year old topic about porting one mod from FNV to FO3 and then another member informs them about TTW, they are well within their rights to do so.
And frankly, having an outburst here without reading what was said in the original post goes against what you stated about "sticking with the topic or don't bother responding".
Also, I am fixing the 3rd double post you've made in a couple of days. Please read up on Rule #3 in our Rules and Guidelines before posting again.

| I appreciate the fixes of my “double posts” I assure you I had no intention of doing. However, telling me I made an outburst, in which yes the person who has made this post has clearly stated by asking if he/she would benefit from TTW, I understand that but the core of the post is about porting fnv mods to fallout 3. The reason for my outburst is the fact that people rush to the conclusion of TTW will solve the issue as opposed checking or suggesting something that is relative. Its super redundant and annoying, and before you go saying fixing my double posting is redundant or annoying, I have not been on this forum for quite some time, so please cut me some slack. |

I never had any intention of doing so nor do I now.
I also understand the frustration of other people suggesting a mod that you don't want/need.
But as for this topic, it is nearly 3 years old and in ALL of the posts from 3 years ago, people were encouraging the mod author to switch to TTW.
Only one post out of all of them gave instruction on any sort of FNV to FO3 port.
Simply put, the original author opened up the floor to opinions about TTW. Because of that any and all posts from members can be directed at TTW. Therefore, it cannot be considered "redundant and annoying."
My issue with your post is that you flamed people for suggesting TTW and then suggested that they stay away from posting here if they can't stay on topic. However, in this case, talking about TTW is the center of this topic AND is the key point of discussion in nearly every post here.
So, I'm not saying your wrong about it being annoying how no will suggest any other alternatives to TTW, however I am saying that this is not the topic to vent those frustrations as the author clearly wanted opinions on it._________________ ____________________________________________________________

| Well they can rightfully so, I’m not saying they can’t its the fact of using it as a band aid to fix this sort of issue, it just gets repetitive and annoying hearing that when there could be a real solution towards the situation. If anyone likes playing it thats fine. But it still doesn’t fix the problem at hand. Not everything that fallout 3 has to offer in modding is exactly available or ever will be for TTW. It just frustrates me, I apologize. |

| It'd be pointless to do it this way because the majority of updating the game to make it Stable was abandoned in favor of using FNV. I'm trying TTW for the first time and am blown away by the recent performance increasing mods. The number of improvements is uncountable. |
