Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone plays Star Wars The old Republic also and know of any good Trooper Armors. I am a free to play player also so i wont have those subscriber stuff. Is there any armors that looks good for the Trooper?

well, if i remember correctly, the armors at higher levels get that iconic trooper feel ( more clone troopers then stormtroopers, but ok) .

there are some good cash armors and helmets with the feel too, and tough you are free toplay, basically all cash itens can be found in the GTN, give it a try =)

@BobaSauro yeah the armors im mostly wanting are those armors that look like Clone armors. I bought a good balster rifle from the Market tho, and browsed before and there are pretty decent free to play ones. Right now im level 34 though

at higher levels gets easier to acquire money, doing repeatable quests and such, so you can buy betetr looking gera.

tough, as a trooper wanting to look like a trooper, it will be easy for you to acquire those looks, quest rewards should provide you with enough gear =).

the problem is when you decide to do some roleplay, like i always do XD, getting a smmugler to look like a propper mandalorian was tough at the start, but i guess these days is easier with all those cosmetics.

@BobaSauro yeah i noticed as i was playing last night , I was getting armor that is in the same set one by one going through missions. I found a armor i think i would want on Google that i heard i can get as a free player. It was the RD-15B Commando Armor. Do you happen to know where i can get that or find parts of the set? I tried the Market and diddnt find any results

seems like you're out of luck >< , it is a random drop on hoth. tough the helmet is sold by the commendation vendor.

What does it mean when its a random drop? and what is and where would the commendation vendor be? Im fairly new to SWTOR lol

random drop means that it is not certain that you ill ever get, as they can drop from any enemy on the planet, most likely elite ones. tough the drop chance is fairly low, so you would have to spend a LOT of time grinding for such pieces of armor. not worth it IMO, might as well go for the ones with similar looks, the site suggest you other helms/chest with same look.

I remember the time were there were some armor that looked just like the one the jedi on the first trailer wore and there was no cash shop gear, i saw at the gtn for like 2 million a piece ( wich was a LOT by the beggining of the game...)

the equipement comm vender usually is at the planet faction base... were all vendors are actually, you can toggle the map to show only vendors, this should help.

back in my days, they would be at the fleet too, tough i don't know if that is still the case.

And I think i got a good armor that looks similar (and maybe better in stats than the original i was aasking about) from missions on Voss. The Visionary Boltblaster Armor. Has the "Clone" looking armor with a orange pauldron and the Havoc Squad Logo on the right shoulder. Only thing is im not a fan of the helmet and would buy a different one from the Market thats also white/orange Lol

maybe you can search in the market for those CUSTOMIZATION CONTROL: UNIFY COLORS item? sometimes there are some guys selling it cheap.

@John_570 I'm sure you already found it but you can buy those types of helmets on coruscant(Outside the senate bulding) for legacy I think, also the new Warstorm helmet look sorta clone like
