10 Things I'd Love to See in Fallout Empty
PostSubject: 10 Things I'd Love to See in Fallout   10 Things I'd Love to See in Fallout EmptyWed Jul 29, 2015 6:06 am

What's this, a top ten list? So cliche, right? For real though, I've been doing some thinking and, though likely none of the things on this list will be in Fallout 4, I'm holding onto hope that I can at least see one in a future mod.

#10 Cybernetic Enhancements: By the looks of the E3 video, Androids, or as they're called in the video "Synths", are going to be one of many enemies in FO4. Back in New Vegas, you could purchase implants that only really provided slight buffs, but I believe FO4 could take it one step further. I'm taking about actually replacing a human body part, for a considerable sum of caps of course, with an improved cybernetic version you buy or build off the robotic carcasses of the Synths. Who wouldn't want a robot arm?

#9 Revolutionary War Weapons and Armor: Laser muskets are great and all, but i'll be damned if I don't want to run around the wasteland with a gunpowder musket dressed like Paul Revere shouting "The mutants are coming! The mutants are coming!" You may call it crazy. I call it patriotic.

#8 Mounts: I mean, the Great War couldn't have killed ALL the horses, could it? After all, Fallout 4 is going to have a huge map that will take hours to traverse, not to mention the countless side quest you will no doubt get along the way. I remember there being a ride-able vertibird in the E3 video, but how cool would it be to travel the wastes on the back of a Yao-Guai? And, while we're on the subject of animals...

#7 Alternate Animal Companions: I guess ever since Call of Duty: Ghosts, people could never get over their obsession with dogs in video games (I joke of course). I mean, who wouldn't want to survive the apocalypse with man's best friend? But, there are plenty of other creatures that could work as companions like the mole rat, radscorpion, maybe a Yao Guai... (*cough* *cough* Mind-Controlled Deathclaw *cough* *cough*). Skyrim had an armored troll as an available companion after all.

#6 The Big Apple DLC: While thinking on options for DLC, New York City was the first place to came to mind. A sprawling metropolis that's close enough to Boston, and hasn't been mentioned much if at all in the Fallout lore. Never before have we been given a city this tall with this many buildings to explore, so why not start now?

#5 Weapons from New Vegas: I'll be honest here, I like New Vegas more than I like Fallout 3. You can imagine my disappointment when I saw nothing that New Vegas added in the FO4 E3 video. While, admittedly, New Vegas didn't add too much, I'd love to see the return of some of the sweet weapons New Vegas did have, for example the Hunting Shotgun, .45 Auto Pistol and Submachinegun, and the Grenade Rifle/Launcher.

#4 The Return of Hardcore Mode: Of the few things New Vegas did add however, Hardcore mode was the one that stood out most to me. The mode offered a whole new experience that focused less on "go there, kill that", and more on surviving the harsh wasteland. If they do bring it back, I'd also like to see multiple variants of Hardcore that makes it harder or easier depending on your choice. (Vanilla Hardcore in New Vegas was still a breeze for me. Now Hardcore with DUST, that's more like it). I'd also be interesting  to see how that would tie in with creating a settlement, being able to grow your own food and making resource collection all the more important to upgrade your refuge.

#3 Tetris Minigame: Hey, they're adding a bunch of playable minigames on your Pipboy. Why not my favorite puzzle game? (That is, if you even would consider it a puzzle game. I'm not entirely sure what genre Tetris would fall into)

#2 Killable Children: Exhibit A: The Mick and Ralph's crier. Need I say more?

#1 A Co-op Companion System: Bear with me here, I am NOT suggesting multiplayer online deathmatches. Imagine this, a system where you can invite up to three other friends into a world as companions. Each person you invite takes up a companion slot, meaning the rest of the companion slots can be filled up by NPC companions. This way, you can get together a posse of wastelanders to roam the wastes without the game turning into Fallout Online. Sadly, this is probably least likely to be in FO4 than anything else I've listed here.

Well there's ten things I'd like to, but probably wont, see in Fallout 4. What would other features would ya'll like to see in Fallout 4?

I agree with everything but well umm, number 7 seems a bit off, i mean like do you really want ride a horse around a Apocalyptic Boston? I dont know it woudn't suit the game for me, but that is your opinion. Thumbs Up

A mutated horse maybe? Maybe there's some three headed Clydesdale out in the the wasteland. A boy can dream...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but according to Chris Avellone (A fallout designer) horses are extinct. Gone. Finito. They either died off in the Great War, or died shortly thereafter. He went through great pains to remove any mention of them from Fallout 2 onwards, and rendered parts of the All Roads comic non-canon because of the horses.

Well, ride-able vertibirds it is then. I don't expect anything on this list to actually be in Fallout 4, but it's nice to hold onto the hope.

I think Cybernetic Enhancements would be cool to see in Fallout 4. Also a rideable vertibird would be amazing aswell. Also the Co-op thing, I think it'll be kinda cool to have another person there with you on your travels.

As much as I respect Chris Avellone. Fallout belongs to Bethesda now, and they have already Retconed the Lore about FEV, Horses not being extinct isn't out of the question. A high-quality explosive expansion, complete with different types and calibers of mortars and SAM missiles.

Also, a decent vehicle expansion, mainly with military vehicles, such as armored cars, tanks, IFVs, mobile artillery, etc.

Didn't deathclaws go extinct in the first fallout?

The only creatures that went extinct to my Knowledge and this is Pre Bethesda. Was Wanamingos in Fallout 2, and Intelligent Deathclaws, in 2 and Tactics? I believe. They're a slight variation, Fallout 2 Int Deathclaws, were made by the Enclave, Hairy Deathcaws (Which were also intelligent) in Tactics were a Mutation? I can't really remember the details, but no. Regular Deathclaws are not extinct. So far no Intelligent Deathclaws have been present in either F3 or NV.
