Ok so this is driving me crazy and i have no idea how to fix it but i know it goes away when i turn off Ambient Occlusion and detailed shadows so that's a start. I have scoured the internet looking for a fix and can't find one so i came to you guy's last and am asking for help. Basically my hair changes to a very bright color whenever i change angles in game with ambient occlusion and detailed shadows enabled and would like to keep them enabled. But again when i turn those off it goes away.

Oddly enough i saw that on another post somewhere earlier and tried it and got no result. I'm going to try again. I just did a fresh install so we will see.

edit: Just tried and still no result : (

Go to your enb local .ini and change "fix transparency bugs" from true to false.
(you can do it in-game just press shift and enter.This tab is in the first upper window,just scroll down and disable it,later click save changes).
I would recommend disabling this feature on every ENB you have as it doesn't fix anything,just messes things up.

This should really be posted in that ENB Troubleshooting thread I made when I was a member of staff. Bit daft having another thread for a problem that could be answered there.

Anyway, most ENB presets already have fix transparency bugs set to false as it usually causes more problems than good if enabled.

The hair bug you're speaking of is something to do with the Fallout ENB in general and there isn't a fix for it at the moment. It's either something Boris needs to fix, or it could, I'm guessing, be solved by fixing the vanilla beard/hair meshes. I'll send mindflux a message right now (author of the Skyrim particle patch for ENB). Maybe he could start one for Fallout.

You have to edit the flag in the alpha property of the hair/beard mesh in nifskope.

I have thought about uploading all vanilla hairstyles and beards include this change, for people who dont know how to handle with nifskope.

It will need to be done to anyother mods that add hair/beard meshes like FCO and NVR3.

Ok so i may have figured it out. Or at-least it's not doing it anymore. I re-installed FCO and picked a option called "ENB textures" within the NMM and did not pick the "high-res hair textures" option. So when you install FCO make sure you only choose "ENB hair textures" and "Eyebrow mesh" options when installing on the first page. On the second page of the install choose any companion patches and playable races and you should be set to go. I will be testing this today and if i still have problems i will go into Nifskope and change them and then upload to this sight for anyone who needs them.

The fix Cruz011 posted is heavily depending on the ENB and the mesh so might have to try some different values to get a good looking result.

I'ts the ENB mixed with the custom hair for sure. Unless the mod maker has specifically made a patch/fix for it then there is no way of fixing it. I was lucky enough to have used FCO only for my custom hair which he did make a patch. If you search google for "FCO ENB hair bug" you will find a lot. But if you're using a different mod i would uninstall try with vanilla hairs. If problem still persists try FCO and install the ENB fix for hair and see if that fixes it. If the answer is still no then i'm drawing a blank.

I use Rudy ENB and have no custom hair mods installed. I noticed that all npc with longer hair or beard had this ugly transparent issue. So i added the [FIX] FixSsaoHairTransparency=true to the enblocal.ini and change every alpha property in the characters hair folder. And its looking good. Maybe i got luck with the enb.
