Hey welcome back to VGU. IF I remember you correctly you did a lot of converting FO3 mods to FNV right? Esp by toxa's work?

Have been busy playing other games, such as Hazard Ops & Blacklight: Retribution (Totally suck at those games hehe ), and many more.

@maybenexttime, Thanks, and yes! Totally spot on there mate. I converted Toxa's armor mods from FO3 to FNV which seemed to be appriciated by some of the guys on the old VGU, though I lost all of the files when my computer crashed. So fixed my old one and gave it to my girlfriend & then built a new system that was optimized for Star Citizen. Guess what? For some wierd reason, my computer does not like FO3 or FNV, so can't play those games anymore.

Rumor has it, that Cloud Imperium Games will allow mods for Star Citizen, if thats true? I might get into Mudbox or something and start making spaceships hehe.

I knew your name looked farmiliar, but you should retry in installing FO3 and FNV because a lot of big mods are on its way

Ah cool! But no rush, can't access mod section yet and I am in no rush to do so either. And yes, i will, as soon as I figure out why they won't work... Not like I get any error messages. I get to the launcher and when I try to play, the game just shuts down or something... Nothing happens after I try to get into the game from the launcher... Unmodded too, which doesn't help much as I don't know how to troubleshoot it.

You should probably get the program that disables G4WL at the Nexus. That singlehandedly solves most 'FO3 doesn't run anymore' issues that I see.

Any idea where to get it? Also this issue seems common on Steam, and not only with FO3 or FNV, seems that other people has same issue but with other games on Steam.


Edit: I have tried the G4WL disabler, but I can't run it as it requires Fallout.ini file, and I don't have that file since I can't even run the game from the launcher. Whenever I do, nothings happening, not even a error message or anything.

Very strange. I'm not sure what to say honestly except messaging steam or where you got the game from on why it won't work.

Update: So I managed to solve the issue I had with FO3. Can't believe it was such a simple solution...
All I had to do is updating Games For Windows Live... Seriously... I feel so retarded.

Glad you fixed your problem time to start downloading those mods again :p

I'm afraid thats not possible. I don't have access to it yet.
I'll have to make do with whats on Nexus for now...
so for now I'm waiting on my girlfriend to finish the concept art shes drawing for me,
to start 3D modelling again.
