Hi guys, my names Jack. It's great to be here. I've heard this is a really positive community. I'm stoked to dive right in, and I've done some modding before with the Vortex, but this is all pretty brand new to me, and I'm getting pretty turned around trying to download and install mods for Fallout 4. I've tried looking up guides but nothing rly comes up for the GUN in terms of install tutorials. I'm pretty lost with it, so if you don't mind lending a hand I'd really appreciate it. Welcome aboard!

If you're using Vortex, it couldn't be easier. Most mod authors here include a link to download their mod (varies from platform to platform, some use Google Drive, others use Mega.NZ, the rest use plenty of alternatives).

Most of the time, you'll be downloading a ZIP or RAR file - both are fine. All you gotta do once it's downloaded is drag and drop into Vortex (under the Downloads tab or under the mods you already have installed - if any - under the Mods tab, both work the same).

It'll show up in the Download tab the same as any other mod from Nexus would. All you gotta do is enable it from there and you're set!

This is also the same method you'd use if you wanted to manually install and/or fiddle around with Nexus mod files.

I tried vortex for skyrim, and kinda dunno... Got disappointed? Playing fallout 4 now with old nexus mod manager, so much better >.> You can get an updated version easily if you google for it!
