| Glad you could fix it, I never thought of the ini. TTW forums have good settings for the ini that can help with performance. |

| @falloutremasters They're in the full release? I wasn't aware of that unless there was a release recently? Anyways the poster was able to fix it through the ini. |

| @phatyoshi Thank you for finding the solution! For me i had to change the fallout.ini file. This might apply to others as well so i posted this just in case. FYI its in your documents/mygames/falloutNV folder |

- I had this issue. Here's my fix: in your fallout.prefs.ini just above [Display] there should be 'bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0'. Change 0 to 1. If you're using a mod manager like MO2 make sure that you change this within the manager's ini editor or it will overwrite.
bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles has something to do with the coloration of NPCs and I think Drag enables it for his mods (either way that was my fix). If changing the fallout.prefs.ini does nothing then change it in fallout.ini instead, which is identical. Also remember that loading the default launcher may reset your ini settings to default so load through something like NVSE instead
edit: this also fixes all other NPCs affected, like Sunny Smiles's face problem or Cliff Briscoe's dark textures THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I spent hours trying to solve this problem. I just did what you said and it worked perfectly. (Google translator) |

| Yep, those screens, i swear he took them in my own game. Changing this in Fallout.ini worked for me. Although i had seen that activating this option implied that the game had to render faces on the go while playing and it was bad for performances. I will try playing like this on my old rig and consider uninstalling all drag's overhaul if it becomes too much for it. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the help. |

You can type into the falloutcustom.ini file under documents>My Games>FalloutNV. If the file isn't there you can create a text document and type bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0 into there. You can also search on YouTube for Fallout New Vegas ini guide and there should be some good tutorials from gamerpoets. |
