Hello GUN! I've been making a tutorial to help out all of the people that are having issues generating or the people that still don't know what it is .

L.O.D. stands for Level of Detail the definition is: The BIM's Level of Detail (LOD) - defines how the 3D geometry of the building model can achieve different levels of refinement, is used as a measure of the service level required. SrinSoft offers five LOD options ranging from 100 to 500.

Now that is quite wordy basically what it does is allow you to see distant terrain such as buildings and rocks etc. The reason why this is important is that it will reduce frame drops and will improve performance in general, it will also make your game look much better and renders using DOF useless because the terrain will now look good so no need to hide it!

Now you would think there would just be some mod that you could download and it would achieve this effect sadly this isn't the case There is a tool for generating LOD and so once again you'd likely assume just run the tool and it will do it for sadly it doesn't you need a bunch of mods and ini tweaks to ensure it works correct which will all be covered in my guide.

So this is just a heads up that the guide is on the way and will be out in a couple days so if you are having issues this will help you out. Anyways cheers and happy modding Wink

Thanks for this, it's nice to see a person really trying to improve and help someone else's experience with the game. Keep it on, buddy!

i'm so glad you finally decided to do this mate, LOD is literally the most essential thing when it comes to modding NV in my opinion as it literally fixes stutter issues, makes the overall performance so much better, as well as drastically improves the visuals, (No more ugly DOF to hide the distant terrain LOL). you should definitely post the pre-generated LOD that you made also, that would help people a bunch.
