Anyone else have a load order that is just so unstable, you don't know if you will get 5 minutes of play, or 5 hours? That is definitely mine. Although, I don't mind it. I love the way it looks, and I love the way the game plays. lol

Anyone else?

No, if you do everything right, you can get a 250+ mods stable game, with crashes every 2 - 3 hours.

If your game is that unstable you are doing something wrong.

I will never understand this, you can literally merge all of your plugins with 0 issues 99% of the time. You're just forcing suffering on yourself. I mean, I guess if you like it it's fine, but I just can't personally see the point of doing it that way.

Not really. I like playing heavily modded because the New Vegas modding community has provided so much good content but I would rather have good performance than high end graphics or textures. I'll work for a few hours to get the game stable with the numerous mods I want installed and I'll even remove some mods if I can live without it, it's just not worth sacrificing performance for me.

Oof, I cannot man, everytime I mod New Vegas to that extent it just becomes red icons galore.

I used to have this problem when it came to my game, especially on my previous computer when the GAME would dictate whether I played for an hour, ten minutes, or whatever time I could get. It was completely random. If you have this problem, you have obviously done something wrong. Also, MERGE your shit. You would save yourself MULTIPLE headaches and cancer if you just merge ffs. Don't Merge ESMs, only merge ESPs that add in optional shit to your main mods like if you have IWS (Increased Wasteland Spawns) keep on the IWS.esm and IWS.esp, but merge all the other shit. Every weapon mod you have, merge it into multiple merge ESPs since I've found that if you have more than 30 weapons in a merged ESP, you can't have more than 30 weapons from singular mods. I have a New Vegas Mod Setup with TTW, TTW Interiors Project, Nevada Skies, AWOP, Project Nevada AND Solid Project, a build of the Frontier (Please don't ask me how I got it nor ask me for it and YES, I did get it legitimately) multiple TTW overhauls, multiple faction overhauls, more NPCs in both Wastelands than you'll ever want, more creatures to kill than you'll ever wanna kill, and among other things, small little teeny mods that add to my game that are mostly merged. I also have Dynamo ENB installed. I also have a few private mods that friends have made for me or for a group of their friends, and a good amount of GUN Armor, Weapon, and Faction Overhauls. I must have 300+ mods but I have only 123 plugins. Everytime I see how much I managed to have so much and have so few ESPs and so much stability, it blows my mind. I get a framerate of 20-30 fps in normal circumstances, 15 fps at battles, 10 fps at big battles, 40 fps in less populated areas and 60 fps in every interior (At least all the TTW interiors from both games, not modded interiors). I can play for about an hour before I get serious memory leaks but I've only CTD'ed a couple of times within the past few months since I fixed my game, and most of the time, it'll freeze after 3 hours or so when my computer can't take the memory implications. Dynamo with Nevada Skies is what ultimately keeps my frames from being more than 30 in populated areas WITH a lot of NPCs and my several NPC mods. If I didn't have my NPC mods, I'd be at 60 fps, but it'd be dead as fuck in the Wasteland. For me, at least. If you don't have a consistent time for when you crash and its completely random, either find the problem or try again. Believe it or not, modding is individual and rarely has problems that are shared with many people. Most incidents are isolated and therefore its hard to determine if you should just reinstall or try to salvage what you can.

Hope you get your game together, it's quite worth having a game so beautiful and modded, that eventually you just stop modding altogether to NOT break your game. I only install mods that I know might not be a heap of trouble on my setup so yeah. Good luck man.

I remember I had merged well over 30 mod possibility hundreds of weapon and armor mods into a single esp and it worked just fine for me back when I did it on Fallout New Vegas: TTW.

I have done that with new vegas. Some mods are just unstable and it's not obvious until later, that's part of the problem. Other mods just aren't meant to be merged, as far as I can tell.

Last time I had tried to play NV my game seemed to crash every 20-40 minutes. Could never figure out how to get it stable. It makes me slightly mad that right now 603 installed mods for Fallout 4 and I almost never crash, except for sometimes when traveling through downtown Boston.

One day I'll try NV again. And maybe I'll find a way to make it stable.

ENB boost helps enormously in my experience (without an enb, especially.)
