I highly doubt its already FO5. These guys take time in making their games even if the amount of bugs in the game says otherwise. Coming up with a concept is hard, but it's a lot harder to defend the idea to the team and implementation of it. I also doubt its using a new engine as well because it really has been only 2 years (still counting to 3).

I really believe its a remaster, well...I wish its a remaster and not a spin off game because I don't want another rushed game with a ton of cut content like new vegas. If its an online game though, then I'm already out hahahaha I'm no fan of online games because net here kills the the fun

I would be very surprised. Pete Hines only recently re-affirmed their commitment to singe player titles .

So the teaser told us nothing of merit, so we wait for the E3 conference. Jason Schrier at Kotaku says his sources say it has an online component.
If that is true i will be VERY fucking annoyed after their whole #saveplayer1 thing

I guess regardless of what it is, I will give it a chance. I was not really that enticed by ESO since I did not grow up with that game(played Morrowind a bit back then on my aunts PC and liked it a lot) but it could be different with Fallout.

is it just me or, judging by the trailer, this looks like Creation Club stuff or just a revamp of FO4 and a FO4 attempt at something like Vegas?

If this is not an online game, it could be an attempt to create a New Vegas style approach to Fallout by one of Bethesda's studios(the one located in Austin iirc).

Actually its more like a Fallout 1 approach to Fallout using FO4 engine/updated creation engine.

That is if this was not an online game. I am really worried about that Kotaku article .

@"ahyuser001" the more i think about it , the less i am convinced this will be anything like previous games. Fallout 76 was the first vault to open, only 20 years after the war. so when you consider what that means for a game world. No towns, no real population at this point, no real civilization to speak of...etc.
that all tells me that this game will be based around rebuilding the world, and heavily feature the settlement building from FO4.
I smell some kind of co-op survival game in the fallout universe with a game-play loop based around resource gathering and settlement building.

Well, that's a waste of my time. An freaking online game. There's something about MMORPG that I really just don't like, I never treat any MMORPG seriously and they will never be as great as single player game in my opinion.

Check out YongYea's video on it, seems to be an online survival game similar to rust(?). Don't know about you folks, but my hype is certainly dead.

Looks like we're in for some sort of multiplayer fallout shelter, maybe using Fallout 4's engine or design? Could be fun-ish for some, but not a concept I find too appealing. That said, I'll wait and see, give them a chance. I really hope they don't take fallout down the route of micro transaction survival esque online games, but I don't hold out too much hope given the general trends of Bethesda's last few moves. Fallout and Elder Scrolls have always been titles that should remain Single Player, but they kind of proved they weren't gonna stick to that path with ESO, so who knows how it might go.

@ahyuser001 @piet33 RIP my hopes and dreams (i hope that if it DOES become like an MMO/Rust/Ark/etc that it would at least have small private servers that can be hosted by the player, similar to Left4Dead)

I just want to remind everyone that everything posted here are speculations. Let us reserve our judgement until E3.

See what Bethesda has to offer before deciding whether to buy the game or not.

You know what would be awesome? A Fallout game with Diablo-like coop and Rust elements of survival and base building .

The last time a Fallout MMO was in development, the company went bankrupt and sold the IP. With how Bethesda has treated it over the years, lets hope that this is the case.
