Is there a line that an NPC has said to you that was just too real for you to handle?

The biggest truth bomb for me is when Ulysses says that no matter what happens to the Mojave in a political spectrum(A.K.A who gains control after the war), the area is still screwed because of the tunneler's eventual migration. And if The DUST mod’s interpretation of the tunneler takeover says anything, it is not gonna be pretty.

I just love Ulysses. I honestly think that he is one of the most underrated and misunderstood characters in Fallout. I personally don’t think he gets that much love.

Just everything Caesar said to me.

If Father revealing he's Shaun counts, then it has to be that moment when you first talk to him.

After coming so far, despite the odds, trying to track down your infant son and you realise it's just some old totalitarian douchebag.

Although I don't know what to think of Father, he's likeable at some parts in the story especially the ending but when you talk to him on top of C.I.T he's perhaps one of the most arrogant characters in the game tbh.

Ulysses saying that you blew up the divide because at this point I was thinking that this guy was just another tribal guy out of his gourd so to have that all thrown out the window is pretty shocking

In Fallout proper, probably what Ulysses said about the tunnelers. Including mods, the Marko reveal in NVBIII was honestly more shocking than the Shaun reveal in Fallout 4. Of course, a big part of that is probably that I felt more invested in NVBIII than Fallout 4.

I guess the conversation you have with Achilles of Atlanta in the ceasers new regime mod is pretty interesting, but I still always end up smoking the legion anyway. If you need to be that evil to fix something then it ain't worth fixing imo

Wouldn't really call it a truth bomb nor a redpill. But even tho he's a dick, he's also kinda right in this case.

This would be the one I'd say too, it made me just take a step back and think about it.

Just talk to Caesar and there you go, biggest truth bomb in the series, in my opinion. Although The Master in Fallout 1 is kinda at the same level, I think Caesar's is even better cause his reasoning is even closer to our reality.

I'm not saying that Master's reasoning is not applicable to our world, it is, but it's based on a phantasy, while Caesar's isn't.
