It's a good question. She's overrated waifu bait as far as I'm concerned. I think Piper is the superior choice but in the end: to each his own.

I don't really like Curie, companions in general. I don't use companions because I don't like the and they always get spotted or get in the way. The only companions I use sometimes are dogmeat and Dance if I want to go all power armor guns blazing. And I don't like Curie because her stats are really bad.

its because she's a lot of fun to have around plus she can be funny at times ^-^

I would say that it's mostly because of the accent and normally doesn't have any opinions that conflict with whatever faction people want to side with.
