I installed R91 , ak 47, ak 2047 and m9 from nexusmods but all the guns get this silly purple texture. Has anyone had this problem before and managed to solve it?


I updated NMM, checked mod resources they are all installed in correct folder, and verified cache but nothing works.

Missing textures.

You problably installed from NMM all of them one by one.
NMM is glitchy as hell. I still prefer to use manual installation.
Install them manually, should work.

Already tried that, as i said, the mod resources are all in their correct folders.

Also the /TEXTURES string is added to ini properly... armors with custom textures work fine.

Go on nmm on the top bar click on the spanner and screwdriver then press reset archive invalidation.
That should fix all the texture issues.
If it did let us know.

I need to ask are these standalone weapons or just replacers. I know i'v seen some ak mods that are just reskins of that poorly mapped chinese assault rifle, also have you tried verfiying cache intergridy on steam

You shoudltn be using ther textures string, but the AE now. Not both

Only other think i could suggest is delete the mods then redownload them manually then add them the nmm, unless you want to install the mods manually.

Hrmm sometimes you can get a texture error if the textures are to low or high for the settings you have the game set for on your computer

Sounds to me like the texture paths are incorrect. Or the name of the texture a wrong spelled then the one the nifs are using. Is there a materials folder within the download. If not that could also cause your issue. If you had downloaded it from the nexus then look in the post section if anyone else got the same issue.

@Cruz011 There is a materials folder, paths are correct (game folder > Data), and I checked posts on nexus. There are several mentions of the issue with purple textures but not a single solution provided.

@Niar26 What's AE? I'm not aware of that, i've been absent from FO4 for about 3 weeks so I'm out of the loop. That might be an issue and I'm not even aware of it.

@JJHughes Yup, verified cache, and yes they're standalone weapons. You can check all the files on hot files section on nexus, none of them are reskins of the chinese assault rifle, I'm aware of that one, it surfaced pretty early after game launch.

I believe then that this is a issue concerning your Ini files, perhaps you would like to test mine and see if they fix your issue, i have installed all of these weapons mods i they work fine, here i uploaded my files to the nexus in an rar Fallout ini
just backup your original ini's and then replace them with these, you will have to reconfigure your graphics though but that only takes a second or two
