Hello everyone!

Im BakedPotato, PieBaker on nexusmods, don't ask how I chose those usernames, I don't know quite why myself.
I first got into pc gaming around 2011 when I bought garry's mod on my crappy dell laptop after watching dasboschitts gmod idiot box series on youtube. I used to play fallout 3 on the playstation, so when I realized I could play it on pc I was pretty excited. Eventually I moved on to fallout new vegas which is still my favorite game to this day. I managed to sink a lot of time into the fallout series before I started to get bored, but when I found out about modding and joined the nexus in 2012, I was able to insanely increase the replayability of new vegas to the point where I have somewhere around 1000+ hours accumulated in it over the past 9 years. I found out about this site from some fallout mod youtube video back in 2015, but I neglected to post on here because my parents warned me about the dangers of talking to strangers on the internet, ooooohhhhh spooky. Anyway i'm a grown ass man now and I can do whatever I want, so hi. Currently i'm going to school to study political science, but don't worry, conversations on that subject matter will stay between myself and my friends, not on this forum, i'm just here to have fun. I'm also learning how to use the GECK right now, countless hours of fun have been provided to myself for absolutely no charge over the years by gracious mod authors and creators, and now I want to give making mods a shot myself, and give back to the modding community a bit. I certainly have no shortage of ideas I'd like to see implemented, and trying to turn those ideas into mods is a challenge I look forward to tackling. Any and all tips on getting started are welcome, but for now I'll be cramming youtube tutorials.

Anyway thanks for reading, hopefully as I become more active on this site I'll be getting to know some of you soon.

Thanks! I remember getting fallout and later skyrim for the console, and I would just get lost in the worldspace exploring and looking at all the details, and now to be able to do so on the pc as well as download mods like texture packs and other things that just enhance all the details in these huge worldspaces is something I would never have dreamed of and its amazing.
