Hello again. Sorry for making another post so soon, but I got a problem. Fallout 3 refuses to start for me. I have GOTY edition from GOG so no Steam involved. It worked fine so far, I have quite a few mods up to 77 in total. I haven't added any new ones. Level 20, worked smoothly, but now out of a sudden it doesn't even start. Not through FOSE nor launcher. When I click play, it opens up the usual black window before start, then crashes without any message. Tried reinstalling with no mods whatsoever, still doesn't open up. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Well have you tried restarting your PC? That always helps.

That's the first thing I tried. Then I reinstalled the game and all mods too. And only then noticed the problem - most .esp files were deactivated upon exiting the Mod manager. My last save was in Dunwich Building. Now the save name was turned into my character name plus 666. I have no horror mods at all installed. Heard those might do that

Usually crash to desktop on the start-up is caused by missing master .esp files. Check all your mods maybe you installed something that requires another mod, which you don't have right now. About the save 666 things, thats weird and terrifying at the same time lolz.

Thanks for the suggestion. Checked just now, all mods have all requirements met. It's just that save file now. Every single one works, even those right outside that building. But those inside are all labelled " insert player name here, 666 " All I wanted was melee weapons bobblehead inside there. I heard it's a spot for the end part of Point Lookout too. Wikia says something about occult stuff involving Dunwich. I've yet to try Dunwich Borers in Fallout 4 to see if it also does something similar. As of Fallout 3, I went through there without saving and saved after exiting. Save file looks normal. I got it working, but thanks for the help : )

Glad its fixed and yeah, Dunwich building was haunted if I remember correctly
