Anyone here believes Fallout 4 is worth downloading mods for in place of older fallout games?

I'm enjoying the mods I have on fallout 4, it all just depends what you're wanting to mod into your game. For me I enjoy fallout 4 more than new vegas due to hotline miami mods and better gameplay as well as better graphics that I don't even need to add an enb or anything crazy and my fps can be perfectly fine while having a couple of amazing mods such as vivid weathers and true storms combined. I also didn't bother doing many face overhauls, I think alot of vanilla things look fine as it is. Grass mods and water mods don't take up any fps from me either, It's a good game despite all the negativity it gets due to the lack of roleplay and perks because when I was on new vegas there were countless perks to choose especially with more perks mod it was a great time role playing as an enclave but now I find myself in a beautiful lush fallout with some weathers I love such as the radstorm which is my personal favorite weather I have seen from any game. I believe you should give it a try but first make sure to take a look at any mods you desire and if many interest you then snatch fallout 4 from the steam sale.

It's worth it. I think the fans have really elevated the game to another level. While I don't think the RP element can compare to New Vegas, it is by no means an unfun game, and the mods really heighten that.

Depends on what kind of mods you're planning to get for it, and how much you're willing to pay for it. If you're planning on, say, Fallout Cascadia or Miami or whatever, I'd say wait for them to actually be released, and wait for a sale. I'm assuming you're planning on getting all the DLC of course, since that would expand your options. Total price would be somewhere around a hundred bucks I believe. Seems pricey to me purely for the sake of modding

It's still a little on the pricey side for what it's offering, tbh. If you can get it for cheap then it might be worth it, but otherwise, I'd say no. As for in place of older fallouts, it's definitely a no, as the other ones have way more content mod wise, simply due to them existing for longer. If you're just specifically looking to get the most bang for your buck, then the older ones will definitely provide that better than 4.

I would say yes, hell even the mods are the reason why I gave this game a second chance. Mods for Fo4 are always evolving while not on the same status as fnv's mods while it already has notable mods I believe more will come in the future.

Definitely yes (and there is my very subjective opinion). Honestly, the entire FO4 package is on sale right now for $30 on Steam. The mods, as mentioned by BITBUT, are evolving quickly and with the graphics the game already has it's an easy decision for me. Textures, game mechanics, extended dialogue and bug fixes, etc. I have and continue to heavily mod FO4 and it provides what I want in a game.

I would say yes. The graphics are nice, and there are some good quality mods out there..I do wish that some of my favorite armor mods from FNV were avail in FO4, but overall I am very happy with what is out there.

Sure, that's a lot of modding doe. And the vanilla quest and questline is still unengaging that you might get bored. Get some quest mods
