I'm having a very frustrating bug with Veronica.

I started the quest "I Could Make You Care" and then dismissed Veronica. A long time has passed and I already found the farming tech and pulse gun for Veronica's quest (while she was dismissed) and now I can't recruit Veronica anymore.

She's at the 188 Trading Post but I can not see the discussion topic for her to follow me. I only have the "goodbye" option. I happen to have the pulse gun in my inventory. If I remove the gun from my inventory my quest updates and Veronica has more dialogue options.

I can ask her about the tech she wants me to find which in turn will allow me to change my mind about which tech I want to look for. A new option to get her to follow me "Let's go then" will show and prompt Veronica to say a generic accept line. The problem is she won't follow me/ I can't recruit her. She just stays in her spot at the 188.

Resetting the quest "I Could Make You Care" doesn't help. Disabling and renabling Veronica doesn't help. I'm out of ideas

I remember having the same problem. Did you try save and exit after the quest reset? Or after the re-enable? She was kind of buggy like this. It might have even been a fast travel in between. Have you tried to console her to a new location? (I don't remember the commands...)

Have you tried any of these fixes at the bottom of the wiki?
