Typically when (gasp!) I get a crash to desktop in fallout 4, I try to reload the game, and it crashes instantly upon loading (any) saved game.
I can't see how that's possible, that a crash could make it impossible to re-load the game.
It's solved by rebooting the computer, but it's a weird hassle. I checked the task manager first to make sure that no fallout thread was still hanging in there somewhere. But I assume some lost thread must still be running? What could cause this? Can mods actually cause a crashed game to suddenly refuse to reload without a full reboot?
