| The mod itself looks promising , and the interview just makes me want this even more! I suppose I'm not the only one who's looking forward to this more than 76! |

| Honestly the news that fallout miami is coming along nicely is great, most big mod projects get canceled. |

| Thanks Dragbody and Commander Wolf for this interview. I wasn't even aware that this mod even existed. _________________ |

| I got some additional questions. Anyone know where I can get these answers or can anyone here answer them?
Will there be new creatures? If so, what types?
Will there be aquatic creatures like sharks?
Will there be new weapons?
Will there be settlements we can build on? Will said settlements be linked to the Commonwealth ones so we can ship settlers to and from them? |

| I'm really excited for this mod. Not only for the mod itself (hoping for new creatures, etc), but I'm really excited to see Miami finally brought into the fallout universe! |

| Man, I hope they add a Florida man random encounter, and he's either selling crack (Psycho) while running around naked with a C4 in his hands _________________ Born to snipe |

| If any of the devs are lurking here, for the love of god don't make the same mistakes that the frontier team did. I don't need to list them all, they've all been explained to death at this point, but it would be a shame if all the manhours and content was, once again, wasted due to mismanagement or due to a few individuals poisoning the well for the rest of us. I will be casually optimistic, as being openly optimistic over what little content that was dripfed was exactly what made the frontier an even bigger flop than it would have normally been, but I do wish the team best of luck. Miami, Cascadia and The Capital Wasteland Project(abandoned hope for the NV counterpart due to people involved with that devteam) are about the only major fallout related projects I am looking for atm, and I fear if Miami in particular ends up being another Hidenburg, it will cement the reputation for fallout modding in general forever.
Other than that, I don't have a lot to say. Everyone involved with the project seems insanely talented and focused, as long as everyone is on the short leash and their additions be thoroughly documented, I don't see the quality of the mod being called into question. I do hope more progress and standalone mods from the project will get released in the meantime. One thing will be a tiebreaker for me no matter what the rest of the mod will look like: I know the reputation system is being brought back, and I know Enclave will be coming to the mod as well. I hope the devteam knows what they're doing with the faction and not just including it for nostalgia brownie points, the way the enclave was(pointlessly) included in the frontier mod might have been the biggest sin of that abomination(and that's saying something). If you're going to include old factions and characters in your mod, please give them a plausible reason to be there in the first place, and treat them with respect. I'm out once I join them and see a german scientist ripping off a wolfenstein scene _________________ http://z0r.de/?id=293

| I first learned about this project because my wife saw someone talking about it on Facebook. It looks amazing and both she and I are immensely looking forward to it. Also, I can see where Sonichu_fanboy is coming from, but I for one prefer to focus on the positive notes. With certain patches and such, Frontier is still impressive in spite of the well documented issues surrounding it, so no problems are utterly insurmountable (not saying it's perfect or that your points aren't well founded by any means, just that it's still an impressive undertaking and the team still deserves thanks for the incredible effort they put in even if we may disagree on some choices). Back onto the topic of Fallout Miami - I'm personally stoked and wish the team all the best. The videos I've seen have me stoked, and I'm personally hoping to see at least a few ghouled mobsters from the old days of Miami (Also, sorry about the post necroing, but the signup rules said not to worry about thread necromancy, and when I read the article I just hated leaving the thread without saying something positive) EDIT: Note To Admins: I just found a site rules thing that contradicts what I read when I joined, so it's a bit confusing - when I was signing up, I vividly remember reading that thread necromancy was fine when giving feedback to a mod, but now I've read elsewhere in the forum that it is frowned upon to thread-necro past 1 month. My apologies - I'm not sure if I'm crazy and misremembering the signup information or if there are different rules for different subforums. _________________ Contact me if you want help with voice acting. | Ever since FO4 came to GOG I've been getting more and more excited with every total conversion mod announced. Fallout Miami, Fallout 4 New Vegas and even Fallout 4 Capital Wasteland. At this point I feel spoiled. |
