Have you ever have a fallout that was so annonying that you have to do a clean install no mod no mod manager no enb no nothing just pure vanila crap, well i hope you share yours on this topic and here we go:

well its started as a normal day i was going to play fallout so when i put the game on its basically started with a error message saying entry point not found so i went online find an easy fix and when on playing then it keep popping up again still entry point not found but this time its another file instead of the one online i saw so i try to do the same method it went normal until this time the game went awol saying that gamebryo engine broke so i reinstall the game still broke watch online tutorial work at the start menu so as i was very piss dont want to do anything but i got up and reinstall the game in a clean state. And that was my annoyning crash story what yours can you tell me if you dont mind

Coming back to FNV after decades of Real life activities being homeless for a while and finally finding good internet to install the game after 5 hours and another 2 to install the right mods to make it feel at home

and then Suddenly while playing you notice your Dynamite dosent explode , your greandes have become potatos and also dont explode and yours guns jam every 3 seconds and your npcs are all purple and nps still throw the dynamite and you got small sparkle sticks on the floor and then you notice somehow your settings have your game in Russian......

Quite honestly should be happy I got a rig that runs at 30 fps really even reintalling aint so bad but yup a horror story of the end times indeed

Accidently double posted

I recently upgraded to a pretty good rig and decided to overhaul the game as best I could. After hours of installing mods the right way, according to mod descriptions, and tweaking everything to look really good, the game crashed on opening inventory. Had to go back to vanilla, reinstall and test after every mod. Took forever but now doesn't look exactly the way I wanted it to lol. But it did lead me to gunnet so silver lining lol

I recently installed Fallout NV which I've been keeping in my backlog for years, and decided to start my play through. Having been years, the gaming world has moved on, so vanilla I couldn't handle and I wanted to upgrade it with mods like I had done with Skyrim.

Thanks to all of you wonderful mod makers, I was happy to discover how many great and still supported mod there were.

This was the beginning of my struggles.

Some people's install of Windows 10 has an issue with the 4GBPatcher / NVSE / EnbBoost where you get a nasty message called "failed to initialize rendered gamebryo renderer".

After spending hours searching google, trying the wrapper version / injection version, reinstalling from scratch, trying again, different nvidia drivers, I found one post that saved the day, and it worked first time:

in your NV base folder, there will be a file called "dxgi.dll" that you would have copied when installing ENBoost, and potentially when installing somebodies ENB profile. This file is not compatible with the latest Windows 10 and will cause the error at launch. If you replace this file with the same dxgi.dll you can find in System32 directory, it all starts working fine again!!!

I can't find this post any more, as it was buried deep... so thank you kind person who found and shared this. My hope is that I can help one or more of you that struggled with this same problem...

I have had to do a few clean installs in my time. Its a pain in the ass. Its worse when you have had the save for a couple months and had a good thing going. Decent progress, trying out mods and going about your life in the desert. Then a mod can corrupt another mod. Then it can jack up the load order, which then in turn makes you uninstall, which then makes the game break. After that its months of alcoholism and divorce papers.
