I had my fair share of war stories in Fallout. The ones that really stick in my head though are the WARZONES memories. The explosions, the guts flying in the air, the funny and badass NPC moments, and oh my god, I can't forget the variety of locations. I think...I think I may be having a Vietnam flashback. Let me just sit down..ok, I'm good. Tell me, what are your craziest fights in Fallout?

In New Vegas I had a pretty serious gunfight with a Veteran Fiend, I was using Project Nevada so it was extremely hard, I also think his health bar wasn't tweaked properly because my rounds didn't do much to him. It started by him and a couple others attacking me but eventually I ran to some Powder Gangers which helped me in the fight, they managed to take two of the Fiends down but the third killed off the Powder Gangers. That's when i engaged into a 20ish minute gunfight with him.

The deathclaw behomoth and the enclave army, behomoth is obvious but the army had incenerators,plasma cannons,robots and even enclave deathclaws.

I got destroyed.

My fight is with my companioms when i have like 5 and try to get down a narrow corridor

Or when i fought the giant roboscorpion in Old World Blues

Those were the days

Nothing special really, but before I had Fallout for PC, actually before I even played New Vegas, I killed everyone in Paradise Falls, with 2 companions. I remembered it looked so cool that everytime I made a new profile I went and killed everyone in Paradise Falls, now it would be kind of boring since I can just download some mod to make fights more entertaining haha.

That was the most memorable of them all, but the craziest battle i've ever had was while playing TTW with Marts Mutant Mod. I came out of a metro tunnel and I had 3 companions, my only options were to go to the right where there were about 20 super mutants and a gargantuan or to my left were they where about 40 super mutants and a behemoth fighting about 15 brotherhood of steel soldiers. I went and helped the brotherhood of steel soldier and I got too confident of myself and went against the other super mutants and the gargantuan, BAD IDEA, everyone died and I almost did to, but the gargantuan got stuck and I just shoot him until I was almost out of bullets haha.

So, yeah, that was cool.

The Supermutant Behemoth in Evergreen Mills. I didn't know he was there until I was too late haha. What a mistake on my end, thinking I was fighting raiders only and maybe a vicious dog or two at best. Headshot city, ya' know.

But NOOO. Big A$$ yellowish, green super giant, WTF monster mutant, running at me with a weapon (or maybe just big giant fists, I can't remember, I had mods on). So yeah, I died quickly...and brutally. Very, very fun though.

One that comes to mind is having the insta-kill headshots mod on and getting ambushed by those Great Khan misfit guys from NVB2. Felt like a old-school gangster movie, hiding in that little trailer with bullets raining upon it from machine pistols, good thing New Vegas didn't have destructible environment. It added to the tension when my companion tried to return fire and got instantly shot at the door.

Another one was when playing OWB, when I found Stripe. I thought it was hilarious until it gibbed me by crippling my leg and immediately finishing me off. It was pretty funny though, apart from me not having saved my game before it happened.

I had just fast travelled to the nipton road rest stop and a legion assassin squad, an ncr hit squad and a bunch of fiends or raiders (not sure which appears there) all appear at the same time, unlucky or what? Then they all started attacking each other until I attacked just one of them and for some reason they all starting attacking me
Anyway I eventually killed them all but not before using at least 10 stimpaks

The fucking Deathclaw Promontory. This was quite a while ago, but I had just watched a video on the various power armors. This had inspired me to find the one I had yet to see; the Remnants Power Armor. After a little research, I had discovered its location and the inhabitants. What I read could not prepare me for the butt-fuck that ensued.

On very hard difficulty, when I imaged quite a few deathclaws, only one place came to mind; Quarry Junction. I crossed the Colorado only to find I was very fucking wrong. After two hours of deaths, pot-shots, frag tosses, and retreats to the river, I finally gained some ground. That's when, like the coward I am, I threw all realism out the door and used the AI pathing against the them. I propped myself up on a nice little rock that confused the shit out of the deathclaw. I then spent the next hour picking them off with a .308 rifle.

When it was all over and I re-consolidated with Veronica in Cottonwood Cove, I had spent 90% of my ammunition and a good portion of my medical supplies. You could say I was making room in my pack for the armor. The more I think about it, the less rewarding it seems. I only wore the armor for a few short days after, and then put it up in the Lucky 38 as a show piece. Moments like that are why I play Fallout..

I had killed some Ncr Trooper on accident and i decided to travel to Hoover Dam to finish a quest and when I got there, There were around 12 trooper and 3 heavy troopers who started shooting me... But thankfully i had 8 followers to protect me i had 2 deathclaw followers, Lily, Rex, Boone, A Sentry bot
Miltin and Hans. I survived by running away for 5 minutes then coming back to alot of dead ncr troopers and 4 out of it followers lol...

Not really my craziest fight, but it kinda stuck with me.  Was in the Capital Wasteland exiting a metro tunnel.  As I came out of the staircase I saw a group of regulators come around the corner trying to ambush me.  Whipped out a shotgun and fired off a few shells as I ran for cover, taking down one and injuring the other.  A stray round from someone blew up an old motorbike which chained into a few other parked cars, sending me flying.  Stood back up as the smoke cleared with a crippled leg, broken arm, and barely alive to find the rest of the regulators dead.  It was all just so cinematic, and had a strangely personal feel to it.

If we're allowed to include mods (not just vanilla fights) that's an easy one for me... being in the middle of a 50v50 Collector/Geth war that I staged outdoors, near one of the metro entrances.

While the Geth are allies in my mod, their explosive weapons and projectiles are not friendly. So many times between them and the bazillion collector grenades, particle beams, etc... I must have died testing that fight at least 100+ times.

Sadly the vast number of units proved to be too much, as the battle overheated my CPU something fierce after an hour or so. So I trimmed the numbers down to around 25v25, and reduced the health of the 'generic' units so that they died faster (and thus, less CPU/etc time spent on them). Its still a pretty incredible battle to watch play out, but I miss the 50v50 version.

I think the craziest fight I ever had was when I fast traveled to Vault 3 by myself with AWOP, IWS, and Realistic Weapon Damage on. There were at least 30 fiends, and I ended up getting pinned behind a small collapsed wall near the entrance.

I think one of the craziest fights I have had in Fallout was during a heavily modded play through of New Vegas. I entered Camp McCarran to find that one of the mods had completely revamped it into some kind of warzone between the Legion, NCR, Brotherhood, Supermutans and feral Ghouls.

I ended up running through the trenches on the NCR's side. Somewhere between seeing the limbs fly over my head and hearing the explosions, I realised I was having a blast! (Get it?)

One of the hardest fights was a close encounter with "Skulls" band. Around 15+ weaponized and armored ghoul bastards. Lost 2k ammo on my chaingun, around a dozen of stimpack, broke my armor and sanity.

This one time I was doing a hardcore perma death playthrough. I was taking the road past Nipton where I got ambushed by the vipers, one of them got a good hit on me and I nearly died. Then one of the vipers just drops, and over the hill I see NCR rangers. I run away into cover and the NCR finishes off the vipers. It wasn't the most craziest fight, but it was intense and got my heart racing. it's one of those moments that has stuck with me.

Installed the Caesars New Regime Mod.

Went to  Nipton and met the legion or the first time.
Did the missions to save some people who were enslaved.

Shot a legion guy at the  Legion Rad camp.
Shit my pants that My bullets did not hurt....

R1) un away to the road & bumped into some Merchants with Body Guards who then engaged my pursuing Legionairs.
2) Then some Rats came into the fight.
3) Some Viper Raiders  came up the road and joined the mayhem.
4) Then a NCR patrol and 5) A legion assasin squad behind them joined the chaos  

It was super fun and awsum

Those Warzones battlefields get pretty crazy and loud when the troopers spawn with M16s and M249s, whether it be the enclave and fiends, crazy huge battles. Makes for good loot though!
