Generally male, however it's just absurd that in the beginning of Fallout 3, your father would let you choose your own gender immediately after you were born. A newborn doesn't under the concept of gender and is probably more focused on crying their eyes out than choosing what they'll look like in 19 years.

hahaha reminds me of an episode of Maury or General Hospital

since I'm all about feeling immersed in my games when I get the chance, I always choose a male character.

I prefer male, mostly because I can't stand the female model or the armour for it.
To remedy this, I'm actually working on swapping out female for male armour, with some modifications where necessary.

My Fallout 3 characters were female, but my FNV characters have been male. So it varies

Like Wotan said I very it up depending on the game i play, but a lot of the female armors that come out especially on nexus can be a little to skimpy that it breaks the immersion for me. so for the most part I usually play as a male.

I always decided to play a male character because of this that some of my favorite armor are incompatible with the female body in the game, or look at it at least strange. I do not play a female character for this reason that I create usually form a hard soldier and a female figure somehow such a concept did not fit

I play gay males or slooty females. 

I usually try to roleplay and try to put myself into the game. For Fallout I play as a male and enjoy it very much. I spend hours on the character creation trying to make the character resemble me. I was glad when I found out the protag was a veteran since I am also a veteran of the U.S. Army

Male becuse of all the armor mods!

I play as a male, because I like to make a character that looks like and me and acts like me.

Both, usually male though as others said because of the armor mods for them.

i usualy play as male but sometimes female

Never played as a female, I just generally play as a male, for no reason other than because I'm a male and it just makes sense for me.

i usually play as a male unless i want to test to something out with the opposite gender

I typically go both, depending on how I want my experience to go. For NV I'm currently playing as a girl, but I don't do the Breeze Type 3 Mods or other similar modifications.

mostly male, but in FO4 i like the female voice actor more than the male so i play as an female ever since

I play as a female, because I'm a female.
Occasionally I'll play as a male, depending on the armor/outfits and voice actor.
