Fallout Mod Manager keeps crashing for me. I looked up help on how to fix it but nothing I tried worked. I reinstalled both the games and mod manager but ht e problem still persists.

Every time I start it up a popup comes in and says FOMM needs to update some files. Then the entire thing just crashes. I have the readme from the crash dump but I can't make heads or tails of it.

I'd had this promblem for the longest time. You may need to remove all the files of fomm and then reinstall it try this. I hope this helps.

I don't think there are any files still on it. I uninstalled it completely before reinstalling it. I'm kind of new to modding. Can you give me some instructions on how to check since I'm kind of a huge derp...

When you run the setup it should say modify repair and remove. What I would do is click remove and then reinstall it this time putting the location that it will be installed to as wherever your game is located. If this doesn't help contact me please.

its not fomm its the mods you installed through fomm go to (localdisk/games/falloutnv/mods) then delete them its a pain but thats how i fixed it

Nope it's not that. I've already uninstalled FOMM once. I'll just uninstall again and go from there. I'll give you guys an update once I have it reinstalled.

uninstalling fomm doesnt delete the mods in that directery and uninstalling new vegas doesnt either youve got to go in that folder and delete those your self and i had the same error code to a while ago

Yep you're right the files are still there. I'm going to half to delete them all manually. There's nothing wrong with New Vegas (I think). This didn't start happening until I tried to mod Fallout 3. Bethesda should really do a patch so players don't have to jump through so many hoops to get it to run on newer operating systems.

yeah i know what you mean there it gets annoying when you want to play fallout 3 you go to a bunch of stuff

Ensure you are using FOMM 0.14.12.11. It is the latest and most stable version of FOMM to date.

One of the other things needed to be done is prevent logging in to Nexus. That particular part does not work since the switch-over on NexusMods.
