| Hey there, I'm new to this forum and the PC environment in general. I recently saved up enough funds to built my first ever pc and blazed through every Fallout game I could find (currently on Fallout 2). I immediately got into modding and being lucky, stumbled upon this place. I'm not really active on anywhere else except discord so I figured "Why not join?"
How does one find their way around here? What are this forum's purpose and scope exactly? |

| Welcome to the site and PC gaming,
The purpose of the forums is general discussion about relevant topics. While the purpose of the site as a whole is its specialization in mods using content ported from other games; something that is not allowed on other sites.
There is a search feature, otherwise once can just browse a category to find something they like. |

| Oh thanks! Ported content? Why would that not be allowed, it's modding after all. Also does this forum dabble on other games aside from elder scrolls/fallout. I mostly use up all my free time for anything Star Wars related and the occasional shooter |

| Sites such as Nexus consider ported content to be generally akin to piracy (with some exceptions). The policy on what is allowed here is less stringent. We do have discussion sections for GTA V, Star Wars, and a section of all others here; https://www.gunetwork.org/c8-more-video-gamesWe don't really have mods for those simply because they have never been submitted by any user. Of course, if someone wished to put out a mod for something like GTA V, we'd be happy to create a forum section for it. There are a bunch of Star Wars mods for FNV though, if those are your thing. |

| Thanks! I looked around a bit and found numerous mods on Star Wars for FNV. I did my research on MO2 beforehand to know how to set up my game. I have to say modding is a lot more preparation than I imagined and pc games in general. Nothing like console gaming which I'm used to  |

| Howdy ZephyrDraconic welcome to GUN glad to hear you finally built a rig and you are on your journey into modding i wish you all the luck brudda. But regarding the whole search thing it's a bit hard to find much but the road to them has a lot to find on the way.
