| I apologize for being inactive for such a while, I didn't have a pc at the time I created my account here. After many long years of wanting to be able to mod fallout to my hearts content , it is finally possible! I shelled out 2k for beast pc so that I could learn how to mod, not only for myself but for others too! I used to mod New Vegas on a shitty laptop back in 2k14, I remember using the nexus mod organizer. I'm sure that times have changed, what does everyone recommend I should start with? Please do not mind me as it has been a minute.  |

| What you should start with depends on what you're aiming to do. Are you wanting to mod some games first? Or are you wanting to jump right in on learning how to make mods? Depending on the game I can probably give you a start in either of those directions. | Welcome back @TheLegendWhoFell. Personally I would start just playing with mods again. See whats out there. And then maybe once you get comfortable start making your own mods. Something that drove me to make a mod was the frustration that there was no decent MC armor out there at the time. So I learned how to make my own. So find something that you are passionate about that you’d like to see in your games and start off there. Start small and build off of that. There are many great guides out there to guide you in the ways of mod making. Good luck to you friend.

| @TheLegendWhoFell - welcome back to GUN. Things have changed for modding, but the community here is still friendly and helpful. If you're talking about modding FNV (or FO4), I highly recommend MO 2 for your mod manager. There is a video and the manager link. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/videos/1712 ...and yes, I am biased because I use it. It is still in my opinion one of the best mod managers out there. I would personally avoid Vortex, but others may tell you different. |

| Welcome back to Gun. It sounds like your modding expeirence is a little similar, I remember waiting for NVB3 coming out and checking the Nexus everyday. If you're like me you'll likely spend a bit of time looking for mods that aren't available any more due to authors removing them over time which sadly happens more frequently than you would think. I hope you stick around. I'm still getting used to the site having recently joined myself but everyone will be happy enough to point you in the right direction so don't be afraid to ask around. | I've been kept away from my pc but I have returned. Alot of events happened during the last couple of months. I got into an accident and went through a life changing injury..I'm able to use my computer once again so I look forward to modding New Vegas once and for all. So far it's been a headache, alot better than playing on a ps3 though. Thanks for your advice everyone! (: |

| You sounds like me about 2 years ago. Had a pretty bad laptop but got a job and payed around 2000 for a new PC. The change was crazy. I'm glad you upgraded, even though this is like months ago. |
