What do you think about this mod? Does it deserve its place in a heavily modded playthrough? The new storyline sounds great but I am not very confident in big quest mods.
I already beat the HH dlc two times and I was quite disappointed, so I would be happy to play this dlc with a different angle.

@Prosp3ro -It provides something nice and fresh. I’ve played a couple hours of it and enjoyed it quite a bit. There is a whole new world space to explore. Basically, you get to experience what it was like to acatully travel to Zion. It’s a pretty well thought and professionally made mod with good voice acting. I’d say give it a try, it’s a pretty good way to sprinkle some “new” into your New Vegas.

I just removed this from my load order. I was getting the "Vortex of Doom" in the Black Mountain Radio building 1st floor. The room was squished to a 4x4 container. Removing Honest Hearts removed the bug. Why does Honest Hearts Reborn edit this? I don't know.

Also check the nexus posts for this. Apparently there are some errors in this that have never been fixed.

I played the mod a little bit and I didn't enjoyed it very much. Several things bothered me: Brutus' facial bug, a ton of loot (containers and corpses), an annoying sound bug (chainsaw!!), mediocre voice acting... Well, I am not thrilled.
@DcCharge Thanks for the warning. Anyway, I think I am going to let this mod go. It seemed promising but I don't know, too many problems I guess. Maybe in a future update?
Or perhaps I am too demanding. For now, the only quest mod I really enjoyed is Autumn Leaves (I love this mod!).

I liked Autumn Leaves too. A little more old school but interesting. Have you tried Fallout: New California? It's a total conversion but it got me back into playing Fallout New Vegas. Well worth a play through.

@Prosp3ro lol Bethesda loved it too, they copied it and called it  "Far Harbor" and of course take money from it...

@Tyls Yes, I've heard about that... Well, robot interactions in Autumn Leaves seem to be far better than the ones in FO76!

I think you've meant Zion Trail, not Honest Hearts Reborn.

I can respect the work that went into it, but it's not my cup of tea. It's a bit too railroad-y with the Legion bits. Plus, I actually really like the original Honest Hearts, so the mod's entire premise is already a bit of a hard sell for me.

One thing seems to be certain: since the mod is still buggy, the author is done with it, and from the looks of it more fixated on those who critique his writing and character approach, you can expect no help to overcome the bugs you might run into along the way.

I watched a stream of somebody playing it, and he got permanently trapped in the starting Legion camp. Any time he tried to leave his head exploded, regardless of whether he was friendly with the Legion, hostile, neutral, anything. So that was actually funny.

I tried to this mod on my current playthrough but I revert it back to original HH after I finished it since there's an pop-up that says it messed up with FPGE after I loaded up my game. The mod had it's moment, of course, there's an ups and downs but it's mostly enjoyable. I really like the ideas that The Courier need an translator to communicates with the tribes but I don't like that the mod remove the The Survivalist lore which is what made the original HH interesting, overall it's decent well made mod, I'd say give it a try if you got bored with original HH.

I'm curious about it too. Frankly, all of fallout 3 and NV dlcs other than Old World Blues could use some kind of reform/rewrite mod for my tastes. I really, really wish Zeta had been more than a hallway shooter. I just pretty much smashed the fire button repeatedly, the end.
I didn't care about the (maybe) profound message of "leaving things behind???!" in Dead Money nor did I see Ulysses as anything other than a rambling, confused idiot; if I hadn't paid money for it I would have said "Why am I doing this? Why am I moving forward into this deadly area?" And turned back.
So I'll probably try this honest hearts as well, though I've heard it conflicts badly with TTW.

Lol haha, another possible ending to it.

I saw a playthrough of it on YouTube by Alchestbreach I believe. From what I remember it was an interesting quest, and went much more into detail than the vanilla DLC.


Never could get it to work though...
