| Is ANYONE excited for Fallout 76 after that E3 nightmare presentation? The whole Bethesda stream was so good up until that heartbreaking multiplayer online ONLY reveal. They already have a petition against them with 15000+ signatures. |

| Honestly,I'm cautious about it. I'm not immediately against it because of the multiplayer. It could be fun as a "just for shits and giggles with friends" game. However,it most definitely is not going to be a Fallout game in my eyes because of the lack of perceived story and interesting npc's. I would probably get it on sale if my friends were gamers. Unfortunately,I don't see that changing anytime soon,so I'll probably give it a pass and wait for Fallout 5,Metro Exodus,or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 if that ever comes to fruition. So,to put it bluntly, not really. _________________ |

| Honestly not, as I said in previous times, I do not like the online, FALLOUT and online do not go hand in hand, not to say that they maintain the same graphic engine, I hope that in FALLOUT 5 it is only singleplayer and with a new graphic engine _________________ |

| I'm optimistic for Fallout 76. I think It could be quite fun but it's certainly not the Fallout game most people would hope for. I don't want to make judgements about the game before I've even played it. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do!

| my biggest issue with games like this is always the time you need to invest to get the most out of them. if you play Destiny, the Division, Warframe...etc then late game content is where the good stuff is, so you have to religiously play that one game to really get the core experience and that's just not how i play games. _________________ |

| While I'm not exactly happy about the way it'll play, I think it's alright since it's a spin-off. I won't play it myself since it feels like it'll be a game where if you enter a server of griefers a while after release you can say goodbye to any kind of fun you'd have. I just hope that they'll dump streamlining on 76 and give a more role playing focused experience for Fallout 5. |

| I don't know if i will be getting this, it looks good, but i don't like how it's a online multiplayer game, if it was a single player, i will be all over it, going to keep a eye on it still and see what else the game has to offer. |

No. I am not interested much if at all in the new game. I was interested in Fallout 4 and it fell very short on my expectations and I suspect this new game will fail very hard to even hold my interest much less be worthy of my game play. However, I will look at it when it is released and some reviewers and perhaps (and would be really useful) if someone I personally know had the game and I could see it etc. TL;DR They (Bethesda) doesn't seem interested in the Fallout core fan base. They seem more interested in gaining or changing their customer base for fallout based on the recent changes to the Fallout (and Skyrim.. ESO) world. I was burned with Fallout 4 and it is the lowest Bethesda game (Fallout TEs etc) in hours next to Oblivion. I haven't even went through all the faction options yet it hasn't held my interest. It had a chance with Nuka world but fail there. I really suspect 76 will be much more of the same and even more things I never even thought of. _________________ |

| Sure am - As someone who's dabbled in RP on different MMO / Online games I can see 76 being very interesting for me - Provided Beth can provide the private servers they promised, that is. Other than that... I don't feel qualified to weigh in on story and whatnot. People already seem to put the story down as a complete failure because of the lack of human NPCs, I'm still optimistic.
Roleplay on it's own will make or break 76 for me. _________________ And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

| As a game of its own, it sounds interesting.
It'd be more accurate to say that, as an incoming Fallout installment, I have little interest. At the very least, it isn't advertising itself as something it's not. Besides the title, of course. |

| The game will most likely be widely hated by the modding community. That or just abandoned by it. And for good reason. If you want a close representation on what the reaction to the game will be, look at ESO's launch.
I personally am not very excited. Modding is something that I enjoy, and it seems that 76 won't have very good mod support. |

AS you mentioned about the ESO... it tanked as far as I have heard and read about. It is pretty likely if they are even close to this formula (lack of customization, server flexiblilty and options) then it will likely tank as well. Bethesda has loyal fans of its TES and Fallout franchises. They have a established formula for success if they follow the previous games (not ESO) of the Fallout and TES games. IMO they should be building on what was successful on the previous games primarily then... and only then start to try to add features to the game. (Fallout 4 for example has a much better shooting mechanic from what I have read. something they worked on for Fallout 4.) I don't see the point in trying to take the game franchise into a totally different direction... at the expense of aspects that were loved from previous games. Successful features. _________________ |

It's not simply taking the franchise in a separate direction. It's effectively a different genre now. Whereas you could, charitably place Fo4 as riding the line between story-driven RPG shooter and shooter RPG story, 76 appears to be marketing itself entirely as a persistent multiplayer base-builder deathmatch, utilizing the superficial Fallout aesthetic as a backdrop. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, it just means that effectively, if Fallout is ever to have a true sequel again, the inevitable game following 76 would perform a complete 180 in order to get back to a semblance of what the franchise was originally about. Honestly, I kind of hope they kind of just quit the pretenses and try to market forthcoming titles in Toddout as something new, instead of just relying on the brand-recognition of the franchise. They obviously don't want to continue within the confines of this world, so why go on, besides $$$ sweet bank? |

| its essentially just a RUST clone, the way the game plays out. Build bases, protect them, do little quests to gain materials for things... All in a fallout universe. Its like Family Guy being brought into a disney universe, it has all the same features, just looks like a disney show (graphic wise) Fallout is the disney world, while RUST is the show Family guy |

| Well it is an interesting idea but I am not exited for it. I will probably watch someone play it before I decide if I will buy it because it looks like the "PVP" in this game is something like a duel.
You issue a challenge and wait until the other person accepts or declines. PVP is a big selling point for me for multiplayer games like these and that kind of system is boring for me. _________________ Will there be enough Dakka? |

| This is a worriesome departure of the original single player experience, and it might indicate futher trends on bethesda titles, the truth is that game companies can make a lot of money on multiplayer games with micro-transactions i sure hope that this isn't the case the only thing that i'm going to like is porting the content of 76 to 4 |

| @Axl Honestly, I don't put a lot of water in that argument. Bethesda knows that 76 is a gamble, even for a huge brand like Fallout. They've already confirmed that Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI will be singeplayer. So... Even if 76 turns out to be Todd's Opus and ES6 is horrible, ES6 will still sell far, far better on name and reputation alone. _________________ And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

While I don't think 76 is for me, I think people are over-reacting when they say single player fallout is dead. The simple fact of the matter is that we are in that awkward holding pattern between console generations when any new game starting development in the last 2 years will be on dev kits for the next gen. that means fallout 5 and ES 6 are years away. We already know Bethesda develop multiplayer modes anyway in development to see how it would work , so this is obviously the fallout 4 multiplayer that they have expanded upon and are going to throw it at the wall and see if it sticks. _________________ |

| More skeptical than anything. If they're doing this, they need to do it well. I mean, they're removing the human NPCS and as far as I'm aware, the quests and story too. Therefore, betraying what a normal fallout game (or any Bethesda RPG) is but keeping the general gameplay the same. The main thing I can say Fallout 4 did really on in my opinion was the gun-play. Seems like the Fallout 4 gun-play is in Fallout 76. I'm excited to see how it'll end up really. Even it is successful, I doubt we'll see it in their future games, apart from spin-offs like Fallout 76. At least, that's what Todd himself said about the next Fallout or Elder Scrolls. I hope Toddie Boy ain't telling me some of his sweet little lies though. _________________ "Give me back my frickin' legions, you mong!" - Absolutely Gaius Julius Caesar |
