My first playthrough was basically Fallout Overencumbered Vegas.

Now I try to remember to sell every aid and misc item i don't need so I only carry a handgun, a melee weapon, and depending on the situation, 1 or 2 other weapons, usually a shotgun, smg, sniper rifle, a powerful energy weapon or the Fat Man.

I constantly change my loadout but I guess i prefer easily concealable weapons (handguns, blades. Super Sledges aren't my thing.)

I'm lugging around a light load right now...most of my other gear is in storage in my Megaton house (thanks to the TTW mod!).

My Loadout:

Nothing too extreme...I usually like to play the game with a 'realistic weight load', so I don't run around with 10 guns and 5,000 rounds for each weapon. Hell, I even edited the .esp for the EBR to adjust the weight to 20 lbs, which I think is fairly accurate to the real life weapon. So, a rifle and a side arm with NVGs...kind of boring, eh?

That 1911 is beautiful :O, where'd you get it ?!

Having something like this sure helps you to keep everything and choose everyday what to wear and bring with you depending on the mission scheduled. From light armors to living tank armors, from pistols to miniguns, I have everything and a lot of choice.
Normally I just bring a 12ga shotgun (Or 20ga one, it depends on ammo availables) and a couple of 9mm and 10mm pistols.

The model, textures and scripts for the tac light all came from the 'Book of Earache: Vegas Edition' by Earache42. I think HeroinZero, Toxa01 or Munkeenuts ported it originally...not really sure. You can use the mod 'as is', as it comes with a version of CALIBERX included...honestly, it's the way to go, since I think Earache42 started the whole community ammunition library thing way back when. It's a huge mod that replaces vanilla guns with more modern gear and really cool uniques. If you just want the 1911...you can do what I did by making a custom .esp that adds it to Gunrunners with mod kits to upgrade it. Or, just swap the meshes/textures for this 1911 with the one from 'Weapons of the New Millenia'.

It has a bit of an intense glossy finish out of the box, you may want to consider retexturing it like I did to make look more dull.

Alternately, Imperator3 released a version of it as well...slightly different but very nice none-the-less. I don't have a link for it, but it's hosted over at modgames.net...the Russian site.
