Hello GUNners

This topic is to amass, filter and organize screenshots of the best mods on GUN, so that we can turn them into Banners which will enter rotation on top of the site.

Please don't spam this topic with nominating dragbody's mods.
Yes, his mods will be included. What we need here are good screenshots which will look good as a banner.

We are looking towards featuring mods from as many games as possible, not just fallout. It is true that most of our mods are from Fallout, but we shouldn't neglect the few others we have from other games.

If you have a good, representative screenshot (that is your own) of a mod from one of our members, feel free to post it here. If you see someone else's screenshot somewhere in another topic, and you consider it highly representative of a certain mod from here, link to it and tell us who the screenshot author is and what mod it represents.

When you post screenshots, either use [spoiler] tags or just post direct links to the image. Your post might be edited by staff if you post the images in full size.

No screenshots will be used without permission from the screenshot author. No mod will be represented without the confirmation of the mod author. I can request the necessary permissions from any nominated screenshot or mod you might suggest, just make sure you specify correctly who did what, so that I won't bark up the wrong tree.

If all goes well, some of our best mods will be shown in our banners here on GUN    
Every valid, complete submission/suggestion/nomination of a screenshot of a good mod will receive +1 rep.

remember to disable several of the layers (the bgs and testing bits)
and customize your GUNetwork or Gaming Underground Network text as you want.

last note: the font for the text under the banner should be Calibri at 14. Don't change that. If you don't have Calibri, get it or find something almost identical and maintain appearance. Cheers

Thought I would get the ball rolling on this one. The screenshot I took features Dragbody's armor pack as well as Hopper31's Halo weapons pack.

Very good idea to make a topic for this +rep from me. The number one you choose for riddick is from me so i can take care of it. I have asked OakshieldDream for help searching the screenshot section for usefull shots. She is on board to help.

How should an banner look like? Mod authors name? Mod name? Community?

Maybe in little different way but I have idea for some banners from Fallout 2 intro and main menu, also Wasteland 2.

i made a quick and first attempt, how a banner could look like. hope to get feedback.

I say YEAH. Looks very classic i like it. So please send me the file on pm. Also i would keep the color in white for the frame and all the lettering under. Its neutral and clearly visible.

@cpt.Rex - your suggestion is good. I will correct it later that day. Thanks for the feedback

@DVAted I think that is a great banner suggestion. The inclusion of the text underneath allows everyone to clearly see the mod information without taking anything away from the image itself.
I agree with @Cruz011 as well, the font should remain white for best visibility on the forums.
Is there going to be a limit on mod banners that will be used for the forums? Will it be like a top 10 or more?

That banner suggestion is definitely a great idea to show off modders and their work.

Anyway, here's some banners I threw together tonight out of boredom, using screenshots posted by AdvancedTerror.

BF4 Assault Pack - Master_Shifu::

dayum the difference between the first and second banners is like the difference between Witcher 3 graphics and Morrowind graphics haha
I mean, the effort and filters and special effects on the BF4 banner (and the stylization to make it look like BF4 cover art) are way above and beyond the scope of the simple text overlay on the cobalt banner haha

on the other hand, it's about the focus of the screenshot - the bf4 is about the weapon, and the cobalt is about the graphics (saturation, contrast, brightness, bloom, etc.) so having filters over the second banner would've been counter-productive.

so... anyway... I really really love the BF4 banner
and we only need to add the white outline and text underneath it
and Master_Shifu's agreement of course

I've made the .psd and will post a quick download link right here, so that everyone can submit their entries. remember to disable the test bgs (backgrounds) and ignore the glowy test things lol
