The variety of weapons and armor. When i first started to play fallout i lusted for new gear sooo bad that felt apocalyptic or military! Same goes for the weather and different enemies! Made a whole new game with mods!

What got me into modding was Clips I would see on YouTube about fallout 3 while I was playing it for my 360 then my brother @wealthywyatt had got his game and started modding his and it blew me away!!!

I was a bit late to modding I was always a console user until 2013. Mass Effect 3 is the first game I modded as I saw Ottemis's HR texture mods. So I went out and bought a better pc and the rest is history.

Since then I have modded the Dragon Age games along with Neverwinter Nights, Skyrim, Fallout (3,NV,4) and the rest of the mass effect series along with. (Thank-you steam sales)

It wasn't until summer 2015 that I started to make my own mods, I started with Dragon Age Inquisition but I have made mods for Skyrim, Fallout 4 & the Mass Effect games since then. Now I cannot seem to stop lol it becomes a bit of an addiction.

I see that so far, Bethesda games are what actually seem to be bringing about the most response as far as the modding community is concerned.

@guidethisonekalaheria You mod DA:I eh? is your avi from that game as well? I too have used mods when playing it as well. I enjoy the one which allows you to use MP outfits in the main game. Solas' armor is my favorite.

I started modding when during Skyrim, when I started to mess around with the Creation kit. It wasn't until Fallout 4 when I actually got more into it. (I also noticed the lack of male outfit mods so that lit a fire under my ass)

Back in the days, I watched a lot of Oblivion videos... I eventually found a couple of vids talking about mods ( Akatosh's dragon rider, for exemple, which blew my mind back in days ! ).

Long story short, years later, I started modding and creating mods myself ^^

Game modding is something that allows you to improve your gaming experience. In video games, the main factor is the gaming experience, isn't it? Fallout New Vegas is very popular in modding. When I started my first NV playthrough, I accidentally found interesting material about NV modding and can't finished this game with the thought that I'm losing some great experience without mods. That's how it started for me.

I'm not skilled enough to create my own games, so modding allows me to customize a game into what I want from it. It's one of the most amazing things about the mod community, if I don't like a certain mod then I won't use it. But the more the merrier in my book because someone out there definitely will.
