A remastered New Vegas! I would die for such a thing, but wait...if I were dead then I couldn't play New Vegas Remastered.

The way i see it is the reason the modding comunity slowon oblivion is because oblivions replacement skyrim had arrived in this sence fallout new vegas's replacement still has not appeared and will not until when of if obsidian makes that replacement.

New Vegas has the greatest feedbacks from players and this could be everlasting. See how many players continue on Counterstrike for example, i see things going the same way for new vegas. In addition the modding scene for this game is really active yet, it won't stop tomorrow.

With the addition of tale of two wastelands I've been playing New Vegas constantly over the past 4 months, I think it'll die either when something even better and amazing than fnv comes shimmying out of the pipe works or the community dies cos vanilla is good but lets be real what modders do for fnv is like what hundreds and thousands do for buttered white bread.

I do think many will still be making mods for it, but i do hope a remaster is made of new Vegas, it was my first fallout and i played it to death without mods. So even if they dont remaster it, i can start with mods and play it endlessly

Also, the actual Fallout fan community (meaning the original Fallout), still exists after 20 years.

Fallout has a hold over people

with everything fallout new Vegas has to offer with just the base game and dlc i say it would last as long if not longer then the original fallout , then you have consider the modders and the mods fan base, i know for me at least this game is going to be one of my favorites for a very long time , even when everyone else moves on to bigger and better projects ill be playing this game like ive always have

It all depends on the activity of the community around a game, and that of Fallout New Vegas is still alive.
In the end it is you who plays, it is you who makes mods, or you who speaks about it that creates the legend of FNV.

I stopped playing New Vegas about two years ago and played Tale of Two Wastelands for a good bit. I Jump into my separate install of New Vegas every now and then but I dont see me doing another a real play through for quite a while. When all the big projects that are still being worked on eventually release Ill be right back in the mix of it. Same for the projects going on with Skyrim. To me it just feels like no matter what face lift New Vegas gets Ive played through it more times then I can remember. So I just run around in Tale of Two wastelands and go back and forth between the two have a some fun causing havok for a couple hours before getting bored and turning it off. The explorations in DC in Tale of Two of Wastelands is awesome and I hope those guys get around to adding to New Vegas areas.

i just finished a play through, NCR, messiah, can never seem to finish a legion play through

it will be a loooong long time before people maybe stop making mods for it,Battlefront 2 still gets mods and people still love playing even over the newer one,There is always a soft spot for the older games that you just cant get rid of and love. And years from now im sure plenty of people will be clicking start and staring at the loading screen after adding some mods still playing it,I know i will be.

I reckon as long as people are still producing mods for it then the community of people that like mods and want a good game for modding will still be around

I think New Vegas will be around for awhile. Tho this makes me kinda wonder how fallout 4 will fair in the future. Like, will 4 suddenly be amazing when a new fallout game comes out? Similar to how everyone now agrees that new vegas is the best despite how before 4 came out people would argue that 3 was so much better.

I think it will become like how Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age: Origins, or Morrowind is now to people. It will become a more obscure niche game over time. Casual gamers will hear about it but will be put off by the aging mechanics, and engine. But the core audience that ate it up originally along with new niche gamers will continue playing it for many years.

I've been playing this game for years, and judging by the activity of this forum so have a ton of people, so I'd bet that she's got at least another 2-3 years of life in 'er before we can officially put the nail in the coffin as we did for Oblivion or Morrowind.

Im not sure every now and then I just such a hankering for a modded play through for New Vegas. I just really wish FO4 could have had the same replay value as New Vegas. I think if FO4 was what everyone would have wanted then New Vegas would basically be dead by now.

I will give it to Obsidian, they do know how to bring choice to a Fallout game. Despite my favourite being Fallout 4 I will say that it lacks many options in the choice department that New Vegas specialised in. That alone makes the most replayable Fallout game for a lot of players,

Replayability means alot of players are still enjoying it 7 years after it's release. Not to mention all the mods for the game make it more replayable than a Super Mario Bros game.

I have already said this but I predict this game will last until another legendary Fallout is released, and if the next Fallout game bombs, then the cycle will repeat and New Vegas will keep being replayed until it goes down as one of the best, if not the best rpg of all time. This is the honest truth, coming from somebody who prefers Fallout 4 with no bias.
