So I'm reaching out, to see if my limited knowledge of "how this game works" (not how this game plays...I know how that works it's push buttons and move mouse) I've been playing in the console to tidy up the vault build space in vault 88. "disable" when used repeatedly and excessively lives up to the rumors of "game breaking command"
The backstory summarized...I disabled way too much. There was a lot of that "white light" where rocks and walls used to be. So much in fact i believe (and please correct me, this is an assumption based on how my reality works and may not be how the game works) that the game was "echoing" or blurring/smudging images (much in the way that mouse trail effect worked in windows 3.x...is that still possible in windows 10?) So I figured I would put my building skills to use and use concrete to "re-wall" the areas that shown white light...does that actually FIX the issue? My logic is that the rocks were there...white light behind it...concrete in its place...no more white light blurring should stop...and I THINK it did, because it didn't happen anymore...but something different did. there was a noticeable stutter while in 88 and only in vault 88. My logic with this is that there are far more objects to draw now in place of the simple rocks that were there (1 big rock gone 50 concrete wall pieces) multiply that by 10 and you get the idea about how much concrete I used to seal up the cave
Sidenote- once all the areas are opened are the workshop bench associations combined? How X number of pieces can be built for X number of workbenches?
Anyway that's the backstory
If you're still reading: you deserve something...what I don't know but something nice
Here's the problem:
I used "resetinterior" command for the vault 88 workshop cell
Mistake...found that out with "first hand" knowledge...then I used the "resetquest" for the FIRST quest for vault 88...stupid
My vault will not load
I now have a new quest in my pipboy that I can't advance AND the existing quest (set to before turning on the beacon) that I can't advance because I can't access the vault
Can I rebuild it? Do we have the technology? I'm not trying to save my vault, I just want to reset it to "stock/untouched"
If I have to start over...FINE...but I actually played this one.
Thank you to anyone that can offer assistance, and/or entertainment.
